We are demerging from /cyb/ because they are LARPers who don't do shit IRL.

Why is it so empty?
>It is a rough copy of curated resources. As we have seen how well 400GB ebook torrents work, it was decided to make something easier for everyone to digest. More will be added.
Why are you so paranoid if you've got nothing to hide?
>There are none that are reputable. Start your own and invite only people you think are serious, lest you become like the old channels. It's not recommended to interact with anyone from the overarching /g/entooman community. >This general is a tool, not something to substitute as your identity.

ITT: Literally perfect technology
>You can buy raspberry pi 0 for the price of two fidget spinners.
>People buy spinners en masse instead of fucking full fledged computers.
What went wrong?
I'd rather retards bought those stupid spinning things than bought a crippled "Babby's first electronics kit" tier board and started "Just got this, What do I do with it?" threads on /diy/.
How old is your rig and how well is it still running?
Mine - LG Xnote SD550
DDR3 1600Mhz 4G
Released in 2013, purrs like a kitten still even with the monitor ripped open
A prebuilt desktop from 2011 I think, with an i5-2310, 6GB generic DDR3 RAM (stole 2 from my brother so now it has 8) a GTS 450, which I upgraded to a GTX 1050 Ti and some 2TB HDD. Had to grease up the PSU fan once, other than that it runs perfectly fine.

All you Linux cucks with your backdoors, bugs, and bloat. Join the BSD masterrace.
Name a more dishonest and disgusting language.
Pro tip: you can't.

How long does /g/ take to commute to work and back? What techonology do you use to do so?
Vega 56 coming close to 1070 power draw with
near 1080 performance.
Gee, if only someone could have predicted that Vega would perform much better with undervolting, and that an undervolted Vega 56 at the same clocks as Vega 64 would perform 100% the same since both cards remain front end bottlenecked until primitive shaders are implemented in driver.
Welp, /g/ BTFO once again.

Isn't that post like insanely discriminatory?
This bitch is so full of shit anyway like IT is literally normie central. Every parent that had kids during the dotcom boom forced their kids in IT.
>The existence of multiple variants causes a lot of problems for board partners. One could think that 0.1 mm difference is insignificant, but it is already causing a lot of production issues. According to TH, board partners are experimenting with different screw lengths to avoid potential heat problems. It may not be an issue for GPU cooling, but bear in mind the cooler is also attached to VRM section. A small difference there, means that the cooler is also misaligned elsewhere.
What the fuck were they thinking when they designed Vega?
That thing is probably the most retarded GPU ever created.
What did Clover mean by this?
I bought a 4chan pass so I could shitpost on the go without the stupid captcha. The 4chan client is supposed to update the registered IP dynamically when it changes

No i5's unless cheap. Consider waiting for Coffee Lake (1 month). 8700K is certain to be the fastest gaming CPU, will be competitive in productivity tasks vs 8-core Ryzen.
>G4560 - poverty builds
>R3 1200 - Budget builds (<$500)
>R3 1300x - Good bridge between the 1500x and 1200, only get a 1400 if you really need multithreading
>R5 1500x - Good but up to 1600 if you can
>R5 1600 - Best value for gaming / mixed usage; 1600x if you want higher stock clocks
>R7/Used Xeon/Threadripper - Compute/Multitask/VM/mixed use; Not for just gaming
Coin miners increased prices, waiting to buy a GPU might be wiser
>Integrated CPU Graphics - Desktop stuff and light games
>GTX 1050(Ti) - Low end budget cards, drop settings on newer games, RX560 beaten by both
>RX570 - [email protected]~hz maxed, running most maxed older games at 100~Hz
>RX580 and GTX1060 6GB - [email protected] maxed, [email protected] at lower settings; RX580 better in newer games
>GTX 1070 - [email protected] /[email protected] at high
>GTX 1080 - [email protected] / [email protected] maxed, [email protected] in a few games; Probably the highest end card you need for 1080p/1440p
>GTX 1080Ti - [email protected] and [email protected] maxed/high in many games

Consider an SSD. Try buying a large SSD for what you'd pay for your SSD+HDD combined, and add a HDD later
NVMe SSDs aren't for a faster OS boot, they're for productivity/scratch disk/VMs. NVMe and M.2 are not the same thing, M.2 is a form factor
Thinking of getting an Asus ROG PG348Q. I really want a 1440p monitor of its size. Will I miss the 44 Hz difference though? Should I wait until 34'' 144 Hz comes out?
