About the general, congrats, I like the idea. Just don't forget to mention DNScrypt. Everyone should install that in their computers and routers.

Mine - LG Xnote SD550
I5 3230
Radeon 7650
DDR3 1600Mhz 4G
Released in 2013, purrs like a kitten still even with the monitor ripped open
do you live in korrea?
A prebuilt desktop from 2011 I think, with an i5-2310, 6GB generic DDR3 RAM (stole 2 from my brother so now it has 8) a GTS 450, which I upgraded to a GTX 1050 Ti and some 2TB HDD. Had to grease up the PSU fan once, other than that it runs perfectly fine.
Thinkpad X220 with an SSD slapped in it. Running very well.
Probably gonna throw an i7 in there when I notice any speed difference, and maybe grab an IPS screen.

Why is JavaScript such a popular languahe, while having such poor syntax. I mean this:});

Why?
>>62031694
It's the result of trying to create a functional programming language based on Scheme while using C-like syntax.

https://www.hardwareluxx.de/index.php/artikel/hardware/grafikkarten/44084-amd-radeon-rx-vega-56-und-vega-64-im-undervolting-test.html
Vega 56 coming close to 1070 power draw with
near 1080 performance.
Sorry OP, I don't speak nazi.
>>62031571
Gee, if only someone could have predicted that Vega would perform much better with undervolting, and that an undervolted Vega 56 at the same clocks as Vega 64 would perform 100% the same since both cards remain front end bottlenecked until primitive shaders are implemented in driver.

https://videocardz.com/72173/there-are-at-least-three-variants-of-vega-10-gpu-packages
>The existence of multiple variants causes a lot of problems for board partners. One could think that 0.1 mm difference is insignificant, but it is already causing a lot of production issues. According to TH, board partners are experimenting with different screw lengths to avoid potential heat problems. It may not be an issue for GPU cooling, but bear in mind the cooler is also attached to VRM section. A small difference there, means that the cooler is also misaligned elsewhere.
Am I supposed to care?
What the fuck were they thinking when they designed Vega?
That thing is probably the most retarded GPU ever created.
AMD should never had bought ATI.

CPUs:
No i5's unless cheap. Consider waiting for Coffee Lake (1 month). 8700K is certain to be the fastest gaming CPU, will be competitive in productivity tasks vs 8-core Ryzen.
>G4560 - poverty builds
>R3 1200 - Budget builds (<$500)
>R3 1300x - Good bridge between the 1500x and 1200, only get a 1400 if you really need multithreading
>R5 1500x - Good but up to 1600 if you can
>R5 1600 - Best value for gaming / mixed usage; 1600x if you want higher stock clocks
>R7/Used Xeon/Threadripper - Compute/Multitask/VM/mixed use; Not for just gaming
GPUs:
Coin miners increased prices, waiting to buy a GPU might be wiser
>Integrated CPU Graphics - Desktop stuff and light games
>GTX 1050(Ti) - Low end budget cards, drop settings on newer games, RX560 beaten by both
>RX570 - 1080p@60~hz maxed, running most maxed older games at 100~Hz
>RX580 and GTX1060 6GB - 1080p@80hz maxed, 1440p@60hz at lower settings; RX580 better in newer games
>GTX 1070 - 1080p@130hz /1440p@60hz at high
>GTX 1080 - 1080p@144hz / 1440p@60hz maxed, 4k@60hz in a few games; Probably the highest end card you need for 1080p/1440p
>GTX 1080Ti - 1440p@144hz and 4k@60hz maxed/high in many games
>Vega is shit
RAM:
>Check your Mobo QVL before buying any RAM
>Ryzen CPUs benefits a lot from high speed RAM
General:
LOOK AT PRODUCT REVIEWS
Consider an SSD. Try buying a large SSD for what you'd pay for your SSD+HDD combined, and add a HDD later
NVMe SSDs aren't for a faster OS boot, they're for productivity/scratch disk/VMs. NVMe and M.2 are not the same thing, M.2 is a form factor
Thinking of getting an Asus ROG PG348Q. I really want a 1440p monitor of its size. Will I miss the 44 Hz difference though? Should I wait until 34'' 144 Hz comes out?
