Because old keyboards just work. I'm using a Mitsumi KFK-EA4XT rubber dome keyboard that various members of my family have been using since the late 90s and it's still functioning. Though I stopped using it for about 7-8 years for a keyboard with multimedia buttons and then a Razer gaymen keyboard that broke after a few years.
