>>57356899

>tfw to smart for consumer technology
Is there anything actually interesting happening in technology right now?
Having scrotum on head isn't a sign of intelligence shitposter.
>>57356869
Google just released a phone or something nobody will care about in six months.
Apple just ran off their consumer base.
Microsoft is currently... well, we'll just leave them be.
Red Hat and TLF are currently fighting a losing battle with IOT devices and the COW exploit.
Cyanogenmod is dying.
...huh. This is mostly bad news.
...Well, Nintendo...
>>57356914
>Cyanogenmod is dying.
What's this about? I was just about to dive into custom ROMs.
>The Internet sucks
How does /g/ improve it?
Ban OP
with anime
>>57356777
Ban everyone who has a facebook account or ever had one from ever using the internet again
Why do you guys hate MacOS?
What OS do YOU use?
>inb4 muh gaymes
Gentoo
>>57356693
Arch + Gnome
Actually, I do quite a bit of gaming. I play a fuckton of FTL and Don't Starve and Rocket League is on Linux now... so, that's half of my evenings.
I couldn't be happier with how Linux is these days. I really wish we didn't have a new world-ending exploit every fucking month but what can you do.
It's pretty clear that developers and pretty much anybody that wants to do anything productive (read: not muh gaymes) uses MacOS.
>2016
>using legacy captcha
Seriously floens?
>captcha
what?
>>57356485
>Doesnt even bother to look through Clover's settings before starting a thread bitching.
Fucking neo /g/ ladies and gentlemen.
Oh and FLOENS if you read this thread can you make and option to have all pinned threads refresh on app load?
That would be really useful to me instead of launching Clover and either loading each thread in turn or waiting for them to autorefresh.
>>57356485
it's actually a good thing
based floens
Hey /g/ I found an old hard drive I had from 2013, I found my instal file for true crypt. Is it still as safe as before??

>>57356608
>we
Just use what everyone else uses yo fucking dipshit
>Is it just a meme for script kiddies?
accurate
It's a bad tv show so I wouldn't know
>>57356425
90% of hacking is script kiddieing, so it's accurate. The social engineering stuff is bullshit tho.

I think the OPUS is worth it alone. Cyberghost is a solid deal and so is Last Pass, but I already have it.
Anyone else get this?
good question. is it worth it?
>>57356291
>Winfags will pay $15 for a collection of shit software and botnets
Can I torrent shit on cyber ghost?
Why is this cooler so comfy?
Literally a meme
>>57356311
>cheap
>good build quality
>decent aesthetics
>relatively quiet even under load
>capable of mild overclocking
How is that a meme
Installation was a bit of a hassle, as with all other cpu coolers from my experience. Got my 2500k to 5.4 with around 65 - 70c on full load, so pretty damn content. Only heard good about it, so gave it a shot: worth.
Today is the 25th birthday of Vim!
What's your favourite command, /g/? I am a big fan of :global
sudo pacman -Rs vim vi && sudo nano /etc/fuckyou.fag.OP
What's the point of vim? I've just taken a few CS courses and I use eclipse. It seems to work for this intro stuff. Does vim provide advantages over eclipse later on?

Why do phone calls still sound like crap? In 2016?
Whenever I use VOIP services like Google Hangouts on my Moto G, they always come in crystal clear.
>>57356268
Land lines usually use good old fashioned pcm and sound fucking great.
CELL phones tend to use high compression vocoders, often not even duplex. They sound lile shit. You might also have a "land line" using some voip backend that is using shit vocoders like a cell phone.
Because it gets compressed to 8kbit or 16kbit depending on interfacing networks. That's why they sound like shit.
>calling in 2016
Sorry if I sound like le hipster but I haven't called anyone since like forever. Everyone including ma and pa /whatsapp/kik me.

>>57356251
I use lastpass but I'm looking forward to the freetards whining that KeePass is superior.
>>57357462
Well I really don't know which is superior, but I finally forced myself to redo all my passwords in KeePass and KeePass droid just last month and I'll be damned if I'm going through all that again if KeePass works.
>>57356251
pass + syncthing
Is this piece of software worth someting?
I will never use a freeware antivirus, and I'm not the only one using my windows machine, and I have an rpi nas for torrenting, so "brain 2016" isn't an option.
How does clamav compare to the paid antiviruses?
Is it a waste of time and electricity?
I can at least tell you that the other persons using your computer are a waste of oxygen
Use Avira Free. You'll be happy. Best free AV on earth.
>>57356262
why would I trust a non-free antivirus?
It could easily be a spyware
