Today, I was at uni lab doing some work on my laptop and some guy practically laughed at the way I was typing (I type with both hands but use 2-3 fingers of each hand) and he told me I was a fool for not learning how to touch type because, as a programmer, I'll spend years of my life typing.

Is he right?

Does anyone here touch type? How did you learn it?

I need comfy earphones to sleep with in on my side. I saw people recommend Meelectronics m6s. I like the replaceable cable since sleeping with this stuff will probably fuck it right up, but I don't know if can pass the ear to surface comfy test.

I just got the Sennheiser Urbanite. "upgrading" from the skullcandy crusher, and WTF happened. I thought Sennheiser was one of those amazing brands! am I doing something wrong? they sound terrible! I've heard better audio from $20 sony's on a gameboy advance! everything is muffled, the volume is pathetic even at max. I dont understand.... someone help...

For me NNEDI3 32+ is currently better than madshi's NGU and I don't think haasn is going to create a NGU like algorithm. It's much safer with crappy sources. Haasn is not active anymore on github, hope he is working on something new for mpv.

Anon from Poland here. Want to build cheap pc to play games, because my laptop is getting old and I have to play overwatch on lowest settings to keep him at 60 fps.
What do you think about pic rel? I want to spend ~500usd (~2k pln, eurocuck tax hurts) and I'll mostly play Overwatch and Dark Souls 3, watch movies and lurk 4chin.

Recent American High-School grad here.

How do I get into an entry-level IT position?

Help desk, customer support, whatever, so long as it gives me experience and at least $24k take-home / year.

A highschool diploma and an A+ might be enough, right? What other certs should I get? I eventually want to do sysadmin work, and I've used Linux nonstop for the past six years.

I've set up and ran a few websites, LAMP stack and such, I've set up several home servers and VPSs, I have lots of AWS experience and Linux experience in general. I'm running Void right now.

Any IT anons here that can give me input?

What can I do to sweeten my résumé?

I also speak intermediate German, not sure how useful that is in Houston though. To add on, I'm a novices-intermediate programmer and i am well versed with shell and Ruby. Python and Java are secondary to those for me.

Reposting my question on one of the deleted threads:
I upgraded from Fedora 24 to 25 but after rebooting grub only listed 24, and went into a reboot loop when I chose it. I reinstalled 24 afterwards. If I want to try upgrading again should I edit the grub config file somehow or get a program that does that?
