Why should it? If it used only 80th port, you wouldn't be able to open two client connections at the same time

Here's the deal /g/. Just recently got my hands on a new TV courtesy of family who no longer use it. The only catch is that there's no remote, and I'm too goddamn lazy to get up everytime. Are there any good apps or programs to control a TV, even if the functionality is as basic as on/off, volume etc? The TV isn't a smart tv so wifi is out of the question.

Cortana is just search.exe with ability to search online.

I disabled the online search portion, so I'm technically still using Cortana.

Unless you're talking about the voice speaking thing, which is a pure meme.

They should replace Cortana with Tay. I'd use that.

Hi /g/

An ISP tech fucked up and cut a bunch of cables short because they were in his way, don't know what the fuck he was thinking but as a result, they couldn't be run where they needed to go and now he's coming back to join them with pic related.

Are there any downsides to doing that? Would I expect any noticeable signal loss?
9 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>57785605
Technically yes, practically no.
>>
>>57785625
>Technically yes, practically no.
So yes there is loss but I'm not going to notice it.

Are we talking fractions of a percent or something? Enough that I'd actually get a few B less through the cable?
>>
>>57785646

You'll probably be fine desu.

Depends on your connection type. If its DSL then you probably have a million taps and joins already so whats another

I think it's important to consider why you want to go 4k. If I were to do it I would get a 30 to 40 inch display to take advantage of the pixel density and keep my 1080p 144hz for certain games.
>>
>>57785499
I have this one and I'm very satisfied with it
After calibrating, the colors are great and UHD is something you definitely won't want to miss anymore.

Keep in mind that it's a TN panel though.
It has a massive contrast shift when viewed from top or bottom. Left and right viewing angles are okay.
