Until today I've been using dual 1680x1050 monitors. Today I upgraded with two new 2560x1440's. So now I have a quad-monitor rig, with two of each resolution. This is running through an R9 290X, and I'm on Arch using the open source driver.
I'm getting pretty noticeable screen tearing and occasionaly as I'm scrolling in FireFox it freezes for about half a second. Is this because my GPU is shit? I was under the impression the R9 290X could handle this setup for non-gaming workloads. Am I mistaken?

Ok /g/ I'm currently studying IT but I just flunked my programming subject I really don't enjoy programming. I'm doing very well in networking and Linux. So my question is this. Am I doomed in the IT industry if my programming skills aren't very good? I'm assuming not but just need some clarification from somebody I'm the industry. Plz halp.

I went from a Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime
This was most certainly an upgrade. Before that, an LG K7, once more before that an LG Leon.
This device is the best I was able to get for about $100-$150.
The only other device I was questioning was the LG Stylo 2, but the ZMAX seems to be the best for the price.
Anyone know networking enough to help me here? I have a router/modem from my ISP, which I finally got them to set to bridge mode since they won't let me configure it. I have my router connected to it, and it works fine. However I'm still behind double NAT, and I can't get the bridged router to pass the public IP to my router. I thought bridge mode would disable NAT but it's still giving out a private address to my router via dhcp. Do any of you know in which way I'm being an idiot? Or did they not set the bridge mode up quite right?

They definitely did not set the router in bridge mode if it's still assigning IPs from DHCP. Your only chance is to keep complaining to them till they escalate your ticket to someone that can actually do this. Unfortunately I know a lot of ISPs are so used to not getting this request that they don't actually have any process in place for 1st level support.
