What happened to internet browsers?
They used to be so much better, have such useful features like tab stacking and session saving.
They had an options menu inside a window instead of in a tab, same for history and so on.
They had all the buttons and customisation you needed, custom hotkeys for everything.
Which browsers do you use and what do you hate about them?
Chrome

Why dont you use ungoogled chromium?

>Every attribute is pre-fail or old age but the overall assessment says the "disk is okay"
Should I be worried?
>>57773392
Partially answered my own question
Seagate uses proprietary firmware fuckery so Gnome-Disks is unable to get perfectly accurate results
I guess I should ignore everything else and only focus on the overall assessment?
>>57773392
Download seatools and check if you can run it under wine.
>>57773392
Type just means what type a given value is (e.g.: read error rate -> pre-fail means that value for this will indicate a failure or that a drive might fail soon).
Also:
Type: The type of the attribute. Either “Pre-fail” for attributes that are said to indicate impending failure, or “Old_age” for attributes that just indicate wear and tear. Note that one and the same attribute can be classified as “Pre-fail” by one manufacturer or for one model and as “Old_age” by another or for another model. This is the case for example for attribute Seek_Error_Rate (ID 7), which is a widespread phenomenon on many disks and not considered critical by some manufacturers, but Seagate has it as “Pre-fail”.

What are the odds that a AMD Zen procesor will be a good replacement for my i5 2500K?
>>57773270
If the information leaked so far is to be believed, its single core performance should be on par with Sandy Bridge or slightly better than that. It will probably be a step up from a 2500k, but a Sky lake or Kaby lake would probably be a better replacement. However, it would be better to wait until third party bench marks come out before drawing conclusions.

You so I'm building a compy for the first time and when I plug it in the fans turn on, and the light on the ram lights up but I'm not getting any display from the hdmi, no light to show the USB slots are working, no lights to show the eithernet is working. PLZ HALP /g/ you're my only hope.
Lights that show something is working,
O Lights on the Ram.
Please light up!
pics? do you have light up ram or something, or is it a troubleshooting light on your mobo? Do you have your cpu/24 pin mobo/cpu fan cables plugged in? Try booting with 1 stick of ram.
Check the error code dummy.

Intellectual Copyright is the cancer of modern society.
If something is so easily acquired that a 10 years old can do it in a minute, and not a single life form is hurt in the process of doing so, there is no logical justification for any arbitrary state-enforced "law" to exist as it achieves nothing more but intervening into the market and creating an unsustainable bubble of companies that are absolutely reliant on that law, and cannot survive should pirating become too widespread (and especially if it becomes widespread in foreign countries where the state can't enforce their shitty interventionist law).
An example is the US' insanely over-capitalized IT sector that not only surpassed the financial (and any other), but is also responsible for about a quarter of the entire GDP. Look at Google and Microsoft's market cap of more than half a trillion. Look at the software Microsoft is producing (which, by the way, is produced and actively maintained for FREE anyway by other people) and tell me with a straight face that they deserve even a tenth of that capitalization.
I think copyright should only last as long as the product is being sold by the original publisher.
>inb4 old material is being sold for 1 million dollars just to keep the copyright
Being sold in a manner that the average consumer can afford it.
>>57773075
I agree with you. I wish I could change it. All I can do is boycott non-free software.
>>57773075
How come Stallman's site says copyright?
There's a bunch of diagnostic data that this thing outputs - but I'm not sure how to read it.
There's proprietary software I don't have access to.
What's the best way to read this?
