What's the best VPN for windows?
8 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
>>57817430
depends on what you want out of a VPN.

I wanted non-obtrusive/reliable/affordable VPN so went with PIA.

Then my ISP became assholes and needed a encripted VPN connection so went with AirVPN.

This is harder than it looks so Im asking here. Im on a really old Pentium 4 rig with 4 gbs ram for everything (1 is hardware reserved so its actually 3). The latest FF is bloated as hell and slows down when the tabs get too many and I dont like chrome, so I need a decent alternative that is fast/responsive even under loads.

I dont care about privacy or piles of features, just need a fast, stable browser, preferably light on resources.

so far I tried Midori and wasn't very impressed, its sluggish and worse, it crashes sometimes.

Why the fuck has Apache httpd no native websocket support? I'm not talking about that ws-proxy shit, but a real module. It could just fork the backend script and pipe data back and forth between client and backend, similar as cgi.
But no, you have to write the entire fucking daemon/service so your project is as un-portable as possible. And don't even get me started about that Ratchet and whatever crap.

Well /g/ what's the verdict?

Sound card, dac/amp/, or default moba?
168 posts and 23 images submitted.

Default if you're not a faggot, external DAC/amp if you have too much money and want to masturbate to your audiophile setup, soudcard if you're mentally retarded.
>>
>>57815991
If you need yo ask you'll probably be fine with integrated motherboard audio chip.
>>

Would you say the following analogy is correct?

X is for programming languages what Y is for operating systems.

X - Y
C - GNU/Linux
C++ - OSX
Java - Windows
Python - Android

Any other?

Name a single better mouse that can do horizontal scrolling
18 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
Mouse scroll wheel on this thing is a flimsy piece of shit. Mine is so sensitive and has no "click" when pushing sideways. It's so bad that most of the time when I try to simply middle click, it crushes to the right and makes a horizontal click. You have to focus on it and try your hardest to press straight down and not get a sideways click on it. Piece of shit.

Otherwise it's a god tier mouse.
>>
>>57815565
You should have gotten a replacement, the scroll wheel on mine is lovely and tactile even after 2+ years
>>
>>57815565
Hit logitech up.

Their Customer Support in my experience has been god-tier. Sent me out a new mouse no problem.
