No 4g in the states usually and no custom roms or community. They might be worth it if they ever follow OnePlus (Current king/Nexus of phones since the OPO) as an example.

I'd say the Moto line is generally good for roms but most of the phones including the Moto X Pure which I have have horrible roms. BrokenOS or Dirty Unicorns are AOSP and ok but buggy and CM sucks on the device.
