>>57827597
If you can't be assed to scroll down to see product dimensions and compare them what makes you think anyone here would do it for you?
Delete this thread.
>>57827778
I wonder why everytime there is a nigger posting whatever but not what i am asking for
>>57827778
>If you can't be assed to scroll down to see product dimensions and compare them what makes you think anyone here would do it for you?
He is right, look it up yourself.
wtf happened to the SuSE logo?
why is the chameleon retarded now?
openSUSE sounds like how a retard would say Open Source so I guess it fits.
it's been that way for awhile.
>>57827607
audible lol
I did a fresh install of Windows 10 on my Samsung - 850 EVO 500GB. Since I have all my files and games on my HDD, how can I launch games and use files from my SSD? Do i have to install them again to get faster load times? How do I download/install files without bloating and using up all my SSD space?

Self bump
I have spent 5 fucking hours trying to get Xorg but it wouldn't fucking work, fuck this stupid meme.
Can anyone suggest me a distro that fucking WORKS?
Ubuntu or Mint.
xubuntu
openSUSE it has the best version of firefox
So uh, has anyone here actually used SteamOS? I hear it's just Debian with Steam installed?
>Google: Steam OS
http://store.steampowered.com/steamos/
that was so fucking hard
>>57827592
Wow that's a great way to tell if anyone on /g/ has used it. Thanks!
I didn't even realise it was actually out if I'm being honest. They kinda brushed it under the rug after steam machines fell on their ass.
>Hello, anon, we're here on behalf of the DMCA, we have a few questions for you
>'Woah man, if this is about illegally downloading movies and stuff just give me a list and I'll pay for them'
>We're afraid its not that simple, this goes back for years, you owe $125000 for the movies and software and another $250000 or 5 year jail sentence
>We have evidence you distributed terrabytes of illegally downloaded material, including pornography, you're going to jail for a long time anon
What would you do in this situation?
Well given that I live in Canada
Option A;
>It was for personal use and I never made any money off it
Option B;
>I don't know what you're talking about, my mom set-up the wifi and it's been slow, does that mean someone else has been stealing our internet?!?!?
EZ

Counter sue my ISP and the government for breaching privacy policy and violating 4th amendment rights.
My p2p traffic is over VPN, they have no idea what I'm sending and where unless they're doing deep packet inspection and illegally handing information over to law enforcement.
>implying they'd get passed the porch
>unless they were disguised as pizza delivery
>set monitor brightness to lowest possible setting on monitor
>increased screen life
>reduced electricity usage
>zero eye strain, can stare at screen for 10 hours with no issue
>no retarded, expensive computer glasses
When did you realize that eye troubles from computer monitors were retards not realize they can turn down the brightness?
Enjoy the loss of colors in your movies you demented little shit!
>>57827351
>Reduce brightness
>Can't see shit
>Strain eyes trying to read texts
>Become blind in 5 years
>>57827351
I've never understood what the fuck these glasses are supposed to do
How does Windows STILL not have a way to force close a frozen full-screen game? I could do it before my second monitor broke by pushing it to the other monitor but it's ridiculous that there's no shortcut or anything to shut it down or force it to minimise. I end up restarting my PC, which is fucking ridiculous.
Just go into the processes tab and kill it you fucking mong
>>57827319
>run process explorer b4 you start the game
>alt-tab to process explorer when game crashes
>kill game process
>>57827319
Download superf4
it lets you set a global hotkey for killing the foreground window, and a different hotkey for killing anything you can click on
Would AMD dying help or hurt the CPU/GPU industry? They do not have enough capital to compete anymore, and Nvidia's brand loyalty is rock solid.
Would another company buying out AMD solve the issue?
No competition nvidia and intel would stall advancement of technolgy and jew us harder
>>57827313
>>57827421
It wouldnt hurt anything. Everything would remain the same since AMDs assets wouldnt dissapear into thin air like people think, they would be sold off, there would be a different administration, new sticker on your cheap GPUs. Thats it
>>57827421
>implying AMD is worth any competition as it is
Let's talk about personal assistant apps.
Do they have a future?
Do you use one yourself?
What in your opinion is the most important thing that makes one app better than the other?
>>57827267
nice try jew, go somewhere else for your user research
>>57827455
Eh, I made the thread with hopes of getting at least one recommendation desu, I want to get one and am too lazy to go through the shitton of "10 TOP PERSONAL ASSISTANT APPS FOR ANDROID" buzzfeed-grade sites.
>>57827570
Nah its /g/ being /g/, if it's not graphics cards or gayming PCs, then it's not tech.
To ask your questions
1. Yes, duh. It's the mostly widely used form of consumer ai and I can't wait to see how better this stuff gets.
2. I use Google now on my phone to set alarms, and small things like reminders
3. Speed and accuracy, which Google is slightly pulling ahead in
Don't know what the top left one of your op is though
Is there any known malware from, years and years ago that was sophisticated and self-modifying enough that it's sort of taken a life of its own on the internet, far out of the hands of its creators?
Yes
Frog memes
>>57827231
No. Don't be stupid. Malware is not sentient.
>>57827302
are you saying that it's conceptually possible for there to be very sophisticated & self-modifying malware that spreads itself/
are you still using these?
>>57827131
>burn backup discs, since they're easy to store, move, and keep off-site
>check out DVDs from the library, rip them to your hard drive
yeah they're still useful
>>57827131
yes
backup old movies, tv shows and games
every 5 years i burn everything
I keep a few with various linux de's, and versions windows and OS for random emergencies, but I also have a few 64gb usb keys for the same reasons. I've used both way more for fixing relative's computers than I have for my own personal purposes.
Portable storage is sort of irrelevant 99% of the time today
Looking to purchase a sturdy wooden desk.
> I've been using a plastic folding table for a while because it was cheap. pic related
Any suggestions?
Bump, I'm in the same boat op.
>>57827031
I'm poor, I use that table in the pic as my dinner table.
lol $30 ikea desk
>Is hadoop a meme?
So we're learning Hadoop as part of our BigData module. Relatively familiar with map reduce from Scala but ..
What kind of scale is Hadoop supposed to be used for? I'm running a job at the moment that is about 3-4 books worth of data and it's taking probably about a day to do things like "get the 5 most common words" etc.
I would have thought that programming languages would straight up have better performance for this stuff.
What is better? Have hadoop count all unique words of the input and then run a program to determine the top 5 in output? Or should I use hadoop to do everything a normal programming language would?
Our prof seems to feel hadoop should be used for everything so either way I'm going to have to do it his way but what is the /g/ opinion?
More like hadump, am I right fellas? You know, because it's shit.
how many nodes are you running this on? hadoop is supposed to be used in a distributed environment
Hadoop is meant for clusters. It's actually pretty shit because they decided to base it on Java for ideological reasons.
