Please include a picture when you create a thread next time OP.
Akari's smile looks faked.
Dell 1737. 320GB hard drive, Core2Duo @ 2GHz, 4GB DDR2.
It's obviously not an ideal server, but it's what I've got. It serves files and my web page well enough. Only 320GB is limiting however, and no redundancy
If I could scrounge up parts to build a tower, it'd also be a Plex server, a virtual emulator box, and a virtual router.

just bought a HP Proliant DL360 G7
-single Xeon E5620
-12 GB ram
going to run pfSense on it and use it as a router.
my question is, how does the router -> switch connection work? i'm assuming that i'll need at least two rj45 ports on the router, one for the incoming connection from my cable modem, and one connected to the switch.
>>58612081
Same old PE T620 (2x 2660v1 192GB RAM, 1x 120GB SSD - OS, 4x 500GB SSD - Cache, 12x 3TB spindle - Data)
Not just running Plex.
New for 2017:
3x PE R620 (2x 2660 v1 / 192GB RAM / 8x 200GB SSD / 24x 2TB HDD (in 2 MD1200's / QDR Infiniband interconnects)
All the new stuff was had for less than $1200.
What the fuck.

why would you want antiques?
Why would you even buy a 970?

all I've learned. Why not C++?
>>58611913
C++ is a terrible language.
Whatever happened to 3D printing? It was all over the new in the early-to-mid 2010s, but I never hear about it any more.
are you serious? It's more talked about than ever before now that everyone has easy access to 3d printers
>>58611784
its useless on the consumer level unless you want to spend 600$+ making keychains and trinkets
not good enough for regular people to print things they'd want to
relatively hard to use
too expensive for what they do -- unless they fill a niche you need, like printing phone cases or some shit
it's good for prototyping and some edge cases, like printing a part for a model kit or a cup holder but in general it's just not good enough. people were hyped years ago because they had unrealistic expectations, hoping that you'd be able to manufacture pretty much anything and that it'd be better than the mass produced stuff. we're not there and we might never be -- economies of scale imply the latter
I want to:
1. Pick up somebody's twitter feed.
2. Add their tweets to my pics automatically.
3. Put those images in a folder that is automatically posted to my twitter.
I assume step 3 can be handled by some commercial package, (massplanner or similar).
Are there any commercial products that handle step 1 and 2? Or would I need to get somebody to build it for me?
Thx all.
If the latter, I guess RSS feed to Imagemagick, somehow (not a coder me)?
Who are you stalking, op?
>>58611888
Huh. No, not a stalking thing. I do THAT on my free time.
This is about putting a quote from one source and attributing it to somebody unlikely, for comedic effect.
>Pic related. Again.
>>58611747
go on upwork/rentacoder etc and hire someone. you're not gonna find something like this since it looks like some kind of a fucked up stalker/spam tool.
Today I witnessed a blessed event - Terry added serial port routines to TempleOS.
I also started writing the level editor for my Mega Man game. Basic tile editing is done, I will add player & enemy sprite placement sometime this week.
I post updates on my TempleOS blog: https://sheikhs.space

What can you do with serial port? Jesus Christ, i tried this system, but i didn't understand it (at the moment) . I will try to practice when I can.

Is After Effects a good option for video editing?
If I were to get a Logitech M570 trackball, could I replace the blue ball with a red ball from the Logitech Trackman Marble? It'd only be for aesthetic purposes, so it's not a deal breaker if I can't. Using a regular mouse is killing my wrist.
Also, is there a better trackball for the price (~$25)?
what am I doing wrong?
I have a bare git repo in my apache webserver in /var/www/html/git/project1.git
but when I run git clone http://192.168.1.4/git/project1.git it spits this out
Cloning into 'project1'...
fatal: unable to connect to 192.168.1.4:
192.168.1.4[0: 192.168.1.4]: errno=Connection refused
Is anyone else getting ads on youtube?
Opera 43.0.2442.52 / Ublock Origin 1.10.2
I usually use mpv+youtube-dl but I tested it and got no ads.
update/add filters
>>58611612
yeah, I did.
Seemed more like it was just a 15 second video that loaded before the actual video did.
I'm using ublock origin with all the lists turned on btw.
>>58611612
>>58611736
How do you have uBlock Origin set up?
Are you using the "advaned user" option and manually whitelisting everything?

I done it, I have officially made the most autistic pc build list ever, No one and I mean no one can top this build, its leak autism itself.
If any of your niggers could build something more autistic than this, I would be surprise.

I didn't say that was smaller. Parts sharing among models will cause this, that's likely a keyboard from a 13.3 or 14 inch model. look at dell's Inspiron 7000 15 right now, it uses the 13.3's keyboard
