What's the most modern hardware you could run on 98SE?
Would it be possible to use a modern motherboard and something with great single core performance like G3258? What about graphics? Any 3rd party drivers for the onboard stuff? What was the last drivers made by AMD or Nvidia?
>>58616203
Bump for interest.
What makes it impossible for lets say, a sandy bridge i5, to be included included in a Windows 95, 98, or even 2000 build?
>>58616203
Driver support for non-NT kernels disappeared quit rapidly. Don't expect to be amazed.

98 not playing nice with the BIOS, from my research. So, UEFI is right out of the window
Okay, I am convinced that microsoft completely fucked up with their last OS. I am now looking to change my daily OS.
I've been using Linux for a while, so *nix is not so unfamiliar to me. But some zealots keep telling me FreeBSD is more secure. So I ended up coming across GhostBSD (a FreeBSD distro).
How does it compare with Ubuntu's usability and and overall security?

I'm not really homosexual or a retard that seeks out fisher price shiny meme laptops with zero usability.
>learn touch typing with home row
>without homerow and touch type - 65 wpm average (70 wpm peak)
>day 1 speed - 17 wpm (peak speed 23 wpm)
>day 4 speed - 40 wpm (peak speed 60 wpm)
i rarely look at the keyboard now, but im still having trouble with my index fingers. Since it was the one I used all the time maybe im still used to hitting all the keys with it all the time?
i was surprised when I hit 60 wpm at one time but that was a fluke and there wasn't much symbols and capital letters in the sample. maybe if this continues, I'll get my average back by this week.
I've been using keybr as my main typing practice site and nitrorace as a measuring tool since it is more fun.
I doubt that I will get to 100 wpm by the end of a month, but I've been practicing a lot lately and am doing my best.
I think my best achievement is that I could type without looking as much on the keyboard now. that's one small victory that I will gladly take.
Gambatte Anon. You've made more progress than me. I type 80-90 but I don't use the homerow and I feel like I can't switch to it because it's been too long. I want to switch but I don't want to suffer the initial hit for something that may end up being the same speed.

Windows is a sinking ship, lads. I guess it's time to move on to Linux or FreeBSD.

Windows 10 was a mistake
We already knew that. Just all the Pajeet shills on this board.

There are idiots on /g/ who freely beta test Linux for multi billion dollar corporations yet get nothing in return
These top Linux corporations don't even bother creating high quality software for desktop users
These top Linux corporations also make most of their money from US government contracts that involve spying on everyone

I recently got an electric shock from my LCD when it fell over and I put it back together. But I can't remember which part did it. Any ideas?
The PSU 10/10. Capacitors are freaking dangerous.
>>58615742
Disassemble it and put it back together again
>>58615742
It's always the capacitor.
There's nothing else in there that can hold electrical charge after you turned the device off and unplugged it.
i thought you guys said chrome was a memory hog?
>>58615722
if you ever post this again I'll punch you in the fucking throat.
>>58615770
why because it proves chrome is pretty decent?
>>58615780
The only reason retards say Chrome eats memory is because they have have 20+ tabs of porn videos open.
Chrome is still a shit browser
So, I'm making this post with the new MacBook Pro and so far... I'm loving it. What are some essential apps I should download?

They have played their roles. Not everyone has the inclination nor the vision for bringing it all together.
Middle two will presumably donate a fortune eventually, if we can trust their word.
Gates has done more than Musk, Buffman will donate his fortune to further enable people like Gates.
Tbh generating wealth the way he has is a serious contribution to the world in itself

Yes you can. That's the whole point of buying an Android device.
Me and my friends discovered a new way for archive information, and we called it Bittone. A Bittone is like a bit, but is bigger. It can represent more bits in one single Bittone. It will revolutionize the way we think about information technology.
