I see you're running Gnome!
You must be blind. I'm using Openbox because I know how to use the terminal.
Excuse me?
I use wmii. Pls no bully

>>58618496
I have Win 7 and probable need to buy a PCI Card that have IDE Connection, will be hard, but before i do that, i want to know how to save all video file to my NTFS Partition.
No1? :D
Seems no real technology expert here.
i'm looking for a good pair of wireless headphones with no mic. I'm not looking for 300$ audiophile shit i just want something that will last about as long and not over 100 dollars.
>good
>wireless
>$100 budget
Pick two.
>>58618416
^This. Deal with the wires. Get a pair of SHP9500s or ATH-M40Xs.
wired is a nogo for me, ive always been horrid with them. i got a corsair vengeance 2100 headset and it lasted me for 2 years. i waited till it was on sale for $80.
I have one year left before I finish my comp sci degree. My grades are shit and I have no personal projects
Is there any way I can get an internship for this summer? And if so, how do I do it? Please /g/ give me any advice you have. I don't want to end up on the streets after I graduate
It'll probably be a long shot for your terrible grades, but you may want to check out https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com
No personal projects implies no interest in the field. Why are you even going down this route?
>>58618500
That's probably a long shot. A lot of kids apply, and there are limited spots. Also, a lot of organizations expect contributions to open source projects prior to applying.
What are you working on, /g/?

fuck you for using an anime image
>Samba 4.3 came out in 2015
>Debian in 2017 has Samba 4.2
What's the best server distribution? I'm sick of Debian's bullshit.
honestly, i know people will tell you otherwise, but arch works fine for me.
obviously would never work for a company, if that's even on your mind then you are dumb for thinking you have a real choice.
fedora might work if you need muh stability, or gentoo, but i'm not a huge fan of either.

Fuck. How to I remove The Search Virus Sidecubes? do you guys have any kind of tip ?? please
Wipe that micro$oft trash from your computer and install Linux
>>58617899
Install Kevin.
>>58617899
>he installed malware
if system restore doesn't fix it then wiping is the only thing left
Running Arch Linux with Deepin Desktop Environment, ask me anything about it
I'm bored and want to chat about Linux, programming and computers
>>58617763
I tried Deepin a couple of years back. How stable is the DE? Does it freeze randomly?
>>58617805
Well, it's now on official repos so it is really stable!

Just downloaded "Windows Driver Kit (WDK) " and some additional ressources (like debug symbols and Nlite stuff) for Windows XP x64/ Server 2003.
Why? I don't know!!! I just reacted after learning Intel doesn't provide drivers (recent hardware) anymore for pre-win10.
I have no idea on driver development. What is this fucked up world making me do?!?!?!
bump for interest
if driver development was just copypasting offsets and function addresses then i'd still be using windows 2000
>>58617614
What are you talking about?
Intel still has drivers available
current state of windows 7
Yes, you can open programs at Windows 10.
Running shit IDEs, botnet torrent clients and SJW web browsers?

It felt hard plugging my new phone in for charging for the first few times and it still is hard. I think I broke the micro-usb socket in there. Nothing is wobbling there. Everything seems fine there. But the phone is also charging when I plug it in with a slight difficulty. I fear I'll break the socket soon.
>Does it sound to you like I broke it?
>Was it the same for you when you bought a new phone?
I know I sound paranoid but has this experience of mine happened to you?
Thanks for the answers.
>>58617439
>Android phones
>>58617439
You want it to be hard when you stick it in. Otherwise it hurts and isn't any fun.
>>58617518
> paying $800 for $400 hardware
HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
bend over and give them ass too
>>58617418
No, it won't.
Web applications will remain bloated because incompetent developers can write inefficient code in any language.
It will just become more proprietary.
>>58617418
so web pages will become binary blobs now?
Not really.
You still need JS to interact with the page in any meaningful way.
web assembly can only export functions that can do calculations more efficiently than JS.
It can't react to events or trigger any sort of reaction.
> New job, yay!
> Work with MS SQL and SSAS.
So far so good. MS SQL is not a bad RDBMS.
> First real task as the new hire:
> Can you just modify this SQL stored procedure for us?
> It's 3983 lines long.
To be fair, 26 of them are comments.
So /g/, what do I do now? Hanging? Gunshot? I need some technological advice here.
>>58617345
Hey man, at least you have a job. Keep your head up, you're doing fine. Save the suicide for when you finally get cucked or something.
>>58617345
Judging from your word and abbreviation using you've never used MySQL and you're just trying to fool us.
>>58617421
MS SQL Server is not MySQL, you silly goose.
>>58617382
It's a singular procedure that is nearly four thousand lines long.
SQL is denser than Java/C#.
If you had to work on a method that was 4kilolines long, how would you feel?
>"rig"
>"cans"

I wouldn't say rig is an everyday word
I still hate it though
