Welcome to three months ago. Retard.

jajajajajaja

I didn't know that Free BSD used the Linux kernel.
What is the very first programming language one should learn if they wanted to get into web development?
Assembly
>>59830466
I hate to tell you OP, javascript
Fuck my sides, how did things ever get this bad
>>59830489
No no, it's okay. I'm glad you're being honest because I heard similar already but I wanted to hear it from /g/ because I know how autistic you guys are about this sort of thing.
I already know a lot of Java and Python so hopefully that helps a little.
I made a video which I thought you guys would like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LyEC_nvALc
>>59830435
Tad long, but good - gj putting it together
>>59830542
Noted on the length, thanks for the feedback!
Butthurt muslim detected.
Does anyone here game on a pentium?
Please discuss
>>59830391
My old Pentium M can handle Dwarf Fortress, I'm happy.
Also OpenArena is go.

you live in the third world?
G4560s are fine for most gaming. I don't use one though.
Have 2 weeks to prepare for a coding test. I think the topic will be timed algorithms.
I've done back and front-end coding for websites for years, know basic types, and linux commands.
But I'm completely unconfident when it comes to complex algorithms. I can only sum primes because I memorized Eratasthenes sieve after reading 4chan memes.
What material should I look at or practise over the next two weeks to improve my chances of doing well on one of these tests?
You wouldn't need to ask this at all if you had any semblance of a math education, eg. a CS degree.
This is what happens when self-taught retards think they gamed the system and think they're on the same intellectual level as educated applicants.

fpbp
What site is that in the pic?
Logged into an account on Windows 10.
How can I get its current password without administrator privileges?
>itt
>prove win 10 security is not good
>ITT
>a request not on /r/
>>59830283
You remember the password you just used to log into it.
If you have physical access everything is compromised anyways, especially with a non-encrypted disk
What are you working on, /g/?
Old thread: >>59825181
Anyone have experience with android development. Just started and Im getting by with C++ knowledge.
>>59830308

Learn Java.
>>59830308
Yes, but only with Xamarin/C#
FFmpeg vs VapourSynth vs Avisynth.
Which is the best /g/?

>>59830356
That's a guy
>>59830369
Should that prevent me from enjoying it?
Without Ubuntu you wouldn't be using desktop Linux today.
For years Mark Shuttleworth spent his own personal money sending FREE CD copies of the latest version of Ubuntu to EVERYONE no matter where in the world you lived at his own expense.
Those FREE CDs made tens of thousands of people install and use Linux.
No person has given away more of his own personal money to the Linux community.
SHOW SOME FUCKING RESPECT FILTHY NEWFAGGOTS

the people who hate on canonical/unity are paid shills.
Microsoft pays marketing forms to post here to cause in-fighting and fragmentation.

There's enough hate for Ubuntu by freetards
I was 12 when I got my 8.04 CD, I was so excited and happy as a young aspie, spent hours fucking with it and learning it, probably the most aesthetic and functional distro I ever tried.
Just heard they're switching to gnome 3, sad
Hi.
I wasn't sure where to ask this question, I just figured this was the best place.
Today I'm starting a work from home customer service job with a large online retailer. I'm paranoid that the program they want me to install to work includes something that also tracks what I do on my PC (as to know some asshole isn't watching porn while working). I was wondering if this is possible or even legal? Am I just being a pussy? I just want to play some text based vidya. Especially during self-guided training this next month.
Also, they require that I disable IPv6 in my network connections while working. What is the purpose of this?
Thanks.
if it's amazon, and you're hopping onto the amazon network to work, then they'll be able to see everything you do anyway if they want to. it'll require an infosec case, but if they need to investigate you, you're out in the open.
>>59829973
It does require using their network. Does this apply to only things I do on the internet or they could actually see what apps I use/have opened on my PC?
>>59830012
the software they install that runs in the background can log pretty much everything from what i understand. are they providing the computer?
Support officially ends tomorrow.
bye vista :(
As poorly tuned as UAC was from launch, it was a step in the right direction for Windows. Maybe one day people will stop automatically clicking through the warnings.

goodnight sweet prince
so is it pronounced as sequel or S Q L?
esqivel

I say sequel because it's easier than ES KOO ELL.
i just installed arch. whats your excuse /g/?
I want to use my computer instead of constantly fixing it.
>>59829992
>>59830005
bloatfags detected. don't you realize it's three percent faster?
Which plan?
>>59829754
none of above
Peronsally i'd do at least 150mbps but that's because that's what I currently have.
Though i pay $75/month for mine and they seem to want $79/month and a regular price of $99/month. Seems a bit pricey, but since i dont watch TV or anything else and I know i can easily use the speeds, it would be my personal minimum.
>>59829818
>mfw canada's infamously shitty internet is better than what i can get here
$80/month 40/4 reporting in
Did Microsoft just make the desktop computer obsolete?
>>59829734
