Hi.
I wasn't sure where to ask this question, I just figured this was the best place.
Today I'm starting a work from home customer service job with a large online retailer. I'm paranoid that the program they want me to install to work includes something that also tracks what I do on my PC (as to know some asshole isn't watching porn while working). I was wondering if this is possible or even legal? Am I just being a pussy? I just want to play some text based vidya. Especially during self-guided training this next month.
Also, they require that I disable IPv6 in my network connections while working. What is the purpose of this?
Thanks.
if it's amazon, and you're hopping onto the amazon network to work, then they'll be able to see everything you do anyway if they want to. it'll require an infosec case, but if they need to investigate you, you're out in the open.

It does require using their network. Does this apply to only things I do on the internet or they could actually see what apps I use/have opened on my PC?

the software they install that runs in the background can log pretty much everything from what i understand. are they providing the computer?

No, it's my personal computer.
I haven't installed the software yet as I'm not supposed to until I'm on the clock (in 50 minutes).
So I don't know much about it. I just know it says I'll be able to connect to their internal servers and do training (and I assume work from it in the future) once I have it installed.
Having worked for every major ISP in a support role such as this, you should always assume yes.
I hope you have a virtual machine ready. Welcome to the botnet.

Alright, thanks guys.
Doesn't really matter as I can still use my laptop on the side, just wondering. Thanks
