(i heard post service pack was good)
Guys I'm so confused and a little freaked out over this. I was writing on a text file and copy and pasting something about 5 times in a row. I'm using Windows 8.
All of a sudden the 6th time I pasted, this gets attached to the pasted sentence
>Blah blah blah blah blah blah
>Blah blah blah blah blah blah
>Blah blah blah blah blah blah
>Blah blah blah blah blah blah
>Blah blah blah blah blah blah UNewegg2500/6
With "UNewegg2500/6" attached at the end. What the fuck? The sentence I was posting had NONE of those words or numbers. Where the fuck did "UNewegg2500/6" come from? Is this some NSA botnet shit infecting my PC? Didn't even have jewegg opened, no way I could've accidentally copied it.
>>59836287
>UNewegg2500/6
Maybe the system clipboard has a history.
>>59836287
nope possibly a flipped bit
need to get you some of that ECC Ram
>>59836330
was also thinking this. super rare occurrence, never had it happened to me before but that's the only explanation.

>>59836284
they sell a version with ubuntu preinstalled
Best cable modem-router for price?
Currently looking at a surfboard 6700
don't get a modem with wireless it's fucking gay, your cable company can turn it into a botnet, no joke.
They can push firmware to it and open your wifi to create a guest network for "xfinity free wifi", etc.
just get a wide band docsis 3 modem, some of the older surfboards are still fine.

Do you think Micro USB cables might eventually become collectible?
>>59836042
Nigga i'm fairly sure you can still find brand new parallel connector cables and adapters from USB to fucking 8-pin. If you need to repair an original IBM PC i'm fairly sure the easiest thing to get is the cables.
Unless you are talking about maybe 200 years into the future, when we will more than likely be able to just 3D print them at home, no, I very much doubt so.
>>59836084
what kind of anti-piracy shit would happen if we could 3d print stuff from home? like normal products.
>>59836042
Micro USB is collectible the same way smallpox is collectible.
Anyone know how can I make windows 10 to look exactly like 7?
I didn't installed 7 in the first place because searching for drivers is a mess.
>>59836027
What does 7 look like?
>>59836027

My alarm just went off for Patch Tuesday. You know what that means.
CREATORS UPDATE TIME, WOO HOO!

>muh patriarchy in video gaymes
Alright.
I'm sick of this shit.
I'm sure you're sick of this shit.
Linux breaking, kernel bullshit, video drivers, no mainstream software, shit crashing, unintuitive desktop environments, muh games, the list goes on.
IT'S FUCKING HORSESHIT AND NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO LIVE LIKE THIS.
>Apple
>expensive and closed source
>Windows
>LMFAO
Alright. So, what next? There's BSD which is basically ghetto linux.
HOWEVER. WE ALSO HAVE THE KERNEL THAT POWERS MAC OS. HOW FUCKING COOL IS THAT?
Did you guys know THAT APPLE HAS TO OPEN SOURCE THEIR SHIT?!?:
https://github.com/opensource-apple/xnu
THIS IS THE FUTURE.
Honestly if HALF the Linux devs dropped that bullshit I bet we would have a fucking sick OS in less than a year. Looks fucking sick.
The way I see it, we need to assemble a core team of developers to implement the following:
1) Write a script to cross compile majority of Linux libs/drivers to the new environment
2) Implement a display servre
3) Build a desktop environment that users actually want to use
LET'S FUCKING DO THIS /G/. SOMEONE FORK THE KERNEL AND LET'S MAKE THE COMPUTER GREAT AGAIN.

i'll make the logo

this isn't a linux distro tho
Does having a customer launcher with custom icons, widgets, etc. cause my battery life too suffer? Does it drain as much as the normal stock launcher?
>>59835850
it will drain your battery faster than stock, however it's pretty insignificant if you have a half decent phone
>>59835872
What causes say nova launcher to drain more than stock?
>>59835876
well it's basically just another background service that stays on all the time so it will make your battery drain faster by nature
All right /g/, give it to me straight: what is objectively the best browser in the year 2017?
I used to be a hardcore Firefox fan but started having memory leak issues a couple years back and so I switched to Chrome. Chrome has been okay, but I heard the other day that fucking Opera of all shit has a built in VPN. And so I did research and discovered Opera as it is today is just a fork of Chromium, something I was interested in years ago but was too fucking technologically illiterate to fuck with (I thought open source meant bad lol)
So what is it /g/?
>>59835842
Brave
Firefox
>>59835842
Opera.
What should I do with these "high power" chink lasers?
I have one red, one purple and two green. The purple and green ones are extremely powerful, they melted smoking holes in my keyboard during this photo.
Shine them on planes in the sky
>>59835867
Nice try FAA.
Quickly flash someone's eyes in a public place discretely and walk away.
Well /g/ what's the consensus on this peice of work
they should've just stolen a BSD fileystem
Still not on Macs, only ios devices have it.
>>59835773
ZFS is very much not optimized for mobile.
Alright boys, I got about 30 some of these G5 machines. What can or should I do with them?
They are various models in various conditions, but all of them are G5s. I just want to know what's possible, irrelevant of what's practical
Gentoo can run on anything
Send them to me

why does this segfault?
I wrote a fizzbuzz that asks counts how many times fizz, buzz, and fizzbuzz are displayed. God damn. I never would have been able to do it if I hadn't drawn a flow diagram!
