I should have listened. Now I understand the meme.
You are clinically retarded if you can't learn how to use Linux and should not be looking for any job that involves computers
>>59833202
Why are you applying to technical jobs without using Linux as your primary operating system? Do you unironically use Windows or OSX?
>>59833202
What job is that?

Currently worthwhile CPUs:
>G4560 for budget builds (<$500) unless G4620/i3 is discounted over 25%
>i3 aren't worthwhile, unless for highly single threaded tasks. e.g. dwarf fortress & emulators
>i5 aren't worthwhile. No exceptions. Get Ryzen 5, drop down to G4560, or up to i7
>i7-7700k is good but pricey. If over budget, consider 6700k and/or a locked motherboard + cheaper cooler; not chasing 4.8Ghz capable when you weren't gonna overclock - or get Ryzen 5/7
>R7 for compute/multitask/mixed use
Currently worthwhile GFX cards:
>RX470, RX480 8GB, R9 Fury, 1070, 1080, 1080TI
>1060 is worth considering over a 480 if same/cheaper in your country, or you just play games it's better on for the price. 1050Ti is for mITX builds
>Budget builds: consider integrated graphics over any card weaker than an RX470, unless another's price/performance is better (ie discounted/used)
>RX500 comes April 18th. Vega in May
General:
>Don't feel bound to a specific brand/model. Parametric filters on pcpartpicker can help here
>Consider SSD only for what you budgeted on SSD+HDD combined. Add HDD later once needed
>NVMe aren't worth it just for faster OS boot. They're primarily for quicker loading/saving of files for productivity

WAIT FOR RYZEN+ REDUX EXTREME ELECTRIC BOOGALOO
Best, sexiest mAtx case right now? Planning to wait for InWin 301, but I'm curious which one is right now the standard.
I have this motherboard:
http://www.gigabyte.us/Motherboard/GA-Z97X-UD3H-BK-rev-10#ov
If I am planning on upgrading a bunch of parts, when is it time to upgrade the mobo? I should be fine for a couple more years with this thing right?
Hello Fuckers i made this cheap build some days ago and already bought the case, the cooler, the ram and the graphic card, but i'm still unsure about the Motherboard and the CPU, i plan to do mostly gaming and some ocasiona video editing, are there any better options on the market for a similar prize?

you retard dont seem to know anything about CPUs, old AMD CPUs are the absolute worst, get something decent like a G4560. send that shitty ram back and get a 1151 mobo with DDR4.

Do you prefer function over form designs? (GNU/Linux, Lignux)
Or form over function designs? (Apple/Windows Vista)
Seems like a perfect middle ground doesn't exi- Oh right Windows 7/XP
How is vista form over function when it's a middleground between XP and 7
actual perfect middle ground was windows 98
they overdid the form in xp
since computers can have a WOL
is there an app you can put on android that would cause you to start your computer booting as you get close to your home and connect to your wifi?
if so, whats the safest app for android
>>59832927
you could just suspend
Just write yourself a simple app that will send a magic packet once it connects to any WiFi network.

i know WOL is a thing, but wondered if this was possible

Is Chrome the best browser by some unfair advantage or are all other browser developers just bad at their jobs?
Could Mozilla sue Google for their "secret sauce"?
They have the vast resources of the NSA and every other alphabet soup agency to help make it nicer so that the goyim use it.
Source: goy who exclusively uses chrome because it just werkz
>>59832820
The cold, hard truth: there is no secret sauce. Any perceived difference in performance or elegance between Chrome and Firefox is due to marketing, UI tricks and psychology.
Stop using botnet Chrome right now and exclusively use Firefox for a week, and I dare you to say the performance is bad. Chrome's UI looks slightly better because of animations when opening and closing tabs and because the default theme is prettier, but that's it.
>>59833064
>Stop using botnet Chrome right now and exclusively use Firefox for a week, and I dare you to say the performance is bad.
I did, and it sucked. Pages took longer to load, videos crashed more often than on chrome, and when I would add a new add-on, clicking the add-ons would crash the browser. Fuck firefox.
