You don't get magic programming powers just by being autistic, and not all autists have the necessary capability to even begin coding. However, if you've got the right amount of autism, with the right mind for it, autism just makes it so you're more focused and devoted to programming.

Hello /g/, my current understanding of computer science and programming isn't where I'd like it to be. I know only a little about various subjects related to computers and technology but I want to learn more. I'm doing nothing this summer so I figured I'd teach myself as much as possible. The attached pic was recommended to me as a good introduction to CS and I'm wondering if I could get opinions on it or if there's a better way of going about this. I'm looking to accumulate a good pool of general knowledge so I'm willing to learn anything from deeper theoretical stuff to programming languages or even cyber security.
There really aren't any related threads so I figured I'd start a new one, basically a resource thread for beginners.

I need a lighter, more efficient laptop. Currently lugging around a Fujitsu Lifebook AH532, I love the thing but it's a fucking brick, and the battery life is like 2 hours now.
My requirements are:

>good screen
>decent trackpad
>long battery life
>good linux support
>$200-300. Ideally $200, but I'll pay a little more for quality.
I'm currently trying to decide between
