The fuck is the deal with Magic Leap?
Is it a giant fucking scam? An augmented reality gimmick? Or is it actually legit?

Revolutionary tech that currently can't be scaled up for mass production . Its not a theranos, but it's not an Apple either. Expect a consumer version of their light field tech at around 2020. I've been following the ML subreddit for years and there's a good chance that they'll release their devkit early next year.
>>60937115
How in the everloving fuck does "light field" technology work? All the videos I've seen about it were so vague and full of buzzwords I was sure it was a scam.
>>60937026
>Is it a giant fucking scam?
Yes.
They have produced nothing from all of the money they have had invested.
Old thread: >>60933273

So, I have a domain (mainly to game G Suite for unlimited Google Drive storage), and I’ve begun considering building a website. I’ve been looking at Wordpress and Squarespace. Seems like a decent way to get something up and running without going to a lot of unnecessary effort.
Is there anything I’m missing that I should consider before I make my decision?
>>60936966
Use static and host it for free somewhere you fucking toolbox
>>60936981
>am I missing something?
>look somewhere unspecified for a way to do something vague and non-specific!

Hey guys, if this is the wrong place for this thread politely sage.
So I'm trying to learn JS, NodeJS, and general coding principles for mostly web development.
What are some good books for beginners?
>>60936883
>>60936883
First of all, no matter how much someone describes to you the list of skills required to be a great painter, the only way to become one is to actually paint, not read books. You should limit yourself to a small amount of reading material, and if you want to get better, actually code. Don't just imagine yourself doing it while reading a bunch of inspirational bs.
Second. You want to become a great coder? Read up on ascetics. If you want to differentiate yourself from code monkeys you're gonna have to eliminate those low effort distractions. Code monkey + discipline = a somewhat capable coder.
> inb4 b-but I just want to be a casul coder and make websites and gaems and stuff
>>60936967
I'm doing a bit on my own but I'm the kind of person who learns really easily from books so I want to read one.
Reminder, there are people out there who actually believe spaces are better than tabs
>never heard of `convert to spaces`
>doesn't have an editor which does it automatically
>>60936769
>he uses tabs converted to spaces
>thinks thats any better than spaces
Kill yourself twice.
>>60936769
no one can argue this confirmed
>>60936791
There are people who whack the space bar 4 fucking times anon. Tabs converted to spaces are the only way

I'm a pure math and comp. sci major, and other than cybersecurity, Neuroscience is one of my major interest, and I want to pursue my life to neuroscience research, with applied math/CS. Where should I start my research? Where should I look into to get started?
>>60936584
>I want to pursue my life to neuroscience research
Consider pursuing a knowledge of English first
>>60936603

>>60936584
