ability to mix low-level and hi-level code
very good concurrency support
very good optimisations and the faster binaries
quite good, comfortable and clean syntax
access to OS API directly via headers
access to your memory
intrinsics and inline ASM
tons of various libs
huge community
Since last years C++ has improved many features within new standards like C++11 and they're gonna go further.

Webapps, desktop apps, cli apps, talking to other devices over serial, cryptography, heavyweight computations, artificial intelligence, web scraping - it's all simple with Python.
Some people make the argument about speed, but do you really want to spend a month more so that the application runs for 10s rather than 60s?
Also, most of the time is waiting for IO anyway, so it doesn't matter.
The only things that you can't really do that easily with python are OS programming, real time applications, MCUs and native windows apps (it's possible, but oftentimes tricky).

Are laptop safes a meme?
I am thinking how to ensure that someone won't steal my laptop when I'm out of my house (which is very rare but still)
