Does anyone else feel like they're growing out of the lifting meme?

I'm starting to care less and less about "muh bench press" or "muh v taper" and more about other things in life.

That's not to say I'm neglecting fitness but I just care a lot less about getting "huge".

Anyone know this feel? I kind of just want to look a little above average that's all

i started lifting a few months ago. i was really gung ho for a month. then grad school and work started hammering me, and i need to prioritize them over lifting weights. i might get in 2 workouts a week.

so i havent outgrown it as much as lifting has been pushed out of the picture so i can cope with adult life. if i had the time, id love to work out 3-4 days a week.

You can have really low bodyweight but you also need muscle mass. It's both: eating well makes it easier to have lower body weight and gets you faster results in muscle mass, and training your abs stimulates muscle growth so your abs stand out better.

yeah I'm a 24 year old Type 1 since I was 12. I manage okay, every day is a new struggle though.

Taking too much protein causes my insulin to do weirs shit. I also have mad anxiety about lows which makes getting proper sleep difficult. Bulking is hard because it's hard to get in 2500-3000 calories while taking an adequate amount of insulin for all the carbs without overshooting or undershooting.

Doing largest possible range of motion made a huge difference for me.

Hopped on Jamie Lewis's training template and got huge and significantly stronger by doing 10-15 sets of 2-3 reps. Intensity is really high as is volume. It's pretty difficult, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who isn't already at 1/2/3/4 and has diet completely down.
