hey bro i never post on this board but medfag here, get yourself some fish oil, and (this is the most important part) vitamin e SUPPLEMENTS, as in oral pills. apply lotion (every lotion has vit e in it, but i'd recommend cocoa butter cause it smells delicious), but that's only topical. you wanna heal that shit from the inside. take fish oil and vit e pills daily (with a meal), shit'll fade in a few months. i've had it work with colloids as well as stretch marks and scar tissue.

Does /fit/ have any tips for starting cardio with asthma? Resting BPM is 90-110. I don't use an inhaler or anything and I want to start doing cardio to lower my resting BPM, the link the sticky goes too doesn't say anything about asthma.

I've got asthma too, OP. Start small and have a plan to consistently lengthen your cardio sessions and increase the intensity. It just takes time. Also, get some salbutamol (Ventolin) when you start because you never know when you're lungs are going to fuck off on you.

I don't know what your current ability is so I can't recommend a starting point but I would definitely recommend carrying the inhaler. My asthma is only activity induced and I rarely use it but when I start getting into lengthy or intense cardio sessions it really flares up. Better to be safe than sorry.

Literally don't care for squats. If you do sports they're fundamental but otherwise you're just falling for the meme. Back squats are useless for everyday life and front squats are only useful for cleans and push presses. Actually these are the most useful lifts IRL along with DLs (most people pull sumo in everyday situations btw), Memester's Walk and maybe Zercher Holds or some other upper back exercise to hold heavy shit in front of you.
SSB squat is literally just a normal back squat, just goes to show you that you normies are suckers for any excuse to squat more for that gym cred.
not sure what Close Grip Bench is supposed to do so not gonna trash it, just seems like an inferior BP t b h.

Can we have a running thread?

I completed my first ultra a few weeks ago. 60km (around 40ish miles). It was a beautiful run, and very satisfying. I'm doing another 60 in four weeks, and I'm hoping to run a 100k in 2018 if life/work permits. I'm also aiming for a sub 1:25 half marathon in September when I'm doing a relay half ironman with a friend.

What are your goals? Shoes? Inspiration? Anything!

Finally someone else who actually runs. How long did the 60k take and how was the terrain? Also, how's the recovery?

I'm training for my debut marathon in the summer, hoping to get under 2:50. Did a hilly 82 minute half a couple of weeks ago, so I'm feeling optimistic. Also doing crazy shit for my club like 400 hurdles and steeplechase (a PB's a PB).

Fuck I'm new on the /fit/-track and I'm a broke, balding, skinnyfat, 5'7" manlet. I know how to dress nice though and I'm a sociable and funny guy who knows how to sing and play the guitar.
