Believe it or not, this is a /fit/ thread because it shows the effects the tongue (a muscle) has on the development of the maxilla.

Do you keep the tongue at the roof of your mouth? You should. Not doing so from a very young age has detrimental effects to your looks. Low tongue position promotes mouth breathing. In effect, there's nothing to support the maxilla, it drops down and you not only get a long horseface, but the classic gummy smile too.

You want to get rid of the dip? Fat distribution is genetic mostly.
You could build up the build up the muscle in that area. Or try to put on more weight see if it fills out. Last option is injections.

How do you modify Texas Method for powerlifting?

You do a powerlifting program. The TM template is specifically not for powerlifting as said by rip. I believe there is a pl version in the book practical programming for strength training. Or pick a program more specific to powerlifting.

What beauty products does /fit/ use?

I am talking about moisturizers, blackhead removers, spot treatment gel and similar.

Personally, I use Nivea, Bulldog and Freederm.

I've tried all kinds of stuff. I've done water only/minimalist routines. I've gone crazy with products. This is what I've settled on along with a few drops jojoba oil and washing with cold water only.

Skin has never been better.

Of everything using cold water has made the biggest overall difference.

Morning:
-Rub about 2 drops jojoba oil into my face and massage for about 30 seconds
-Floss and brush teeth while I let it settle into my skin
-Get into cold shower, get face wet, wash with foaming cleanser and wash the rest of myself and rinse off
-Pat dry with a clean towel and moisturize face with one pump of the moisturizer, rubbing it gently but fully into my face

That pretty much does it. If I get sweaty later on in the day I can still get a little oily but a splash of cold water clears it up and my skin will be totally good for the rest of the day.

Evening:
-Few drops of jojoba oil onto face again
-Floss and brush again while the oil soaks in
-Wet face with cold water
-Wash with foaming cleanser
-Pat dry and moisturize with one pump of the cerave AND a couple of drops of jojoba oil

The only other thing I do specifically for my skin is drink a glass of carrot juice everyday. The beta carotene evens up and darkens my skin tone a little bit which, as a pasty celt, makes me look much better.
Sun is also great for your skin in moderation but not everyone has that luxury (I don't most of the year).

The shopping trolley push however is an almost purely concentric exercise that adds lots of volume without much fatigue to supplement your squats. The random whirring of the wheels also helps hit some of the small stabilizer muscles making it prehab. And in the queue you can practice deads and dips. Highly functional.

For those of you who get lean/stay lean without autistically tracking everything you consume, how do you know when enough is enough for the day?


I'm only asking because sometimes when I over-eat a lot and I know for a fact I've over-ate, I'll wake up look leaner and muscular.....then other days I'll eat like a bird and wake up looking soft and flabby.......

To be fair, when the largest contributor to the threads was blueshoes - a mental Canadian with a mom high up in politics who could only power snatch 70kg in an overweight condition - it was dead from the start.

I can split-style c&j 150kg, but even I understand the sport of WL is fucked. It's completely unattractive to novices and in 2017 the only way you can compete in the sport is to start from childhood while living in a country with state sponsored doping (China, Russia, EE, ME, Asia, etc).

My money is it being removed from the olympics very soon. It does nothing in ratings and the stench of hormone use is greater than other sports.
