Did you consult the instruction manuals during assembly?
Did you install the little speaker on the motherboard? Does it signal anything? If so, did you check what the signal means in the manual of your motherboard?

Possible bad CPU, or your CPU is incompatible with your board. Check the list of approved hardware for your motherboard (should be able to find it on the manufacturer's website) to see what CPUs your board takes, and what BIOS revision you need for it to take them.

In some really shitty cases, your board's box will say it supports some new family of chips, but then the manufacturer puts an old BIOS revision on the board, so you have to get an older chip, flash the BIOS, then put your new chip in.

I am confused but if I understand you correctly:

You have a pond. The pond has a creek feeding into it (inlet) and a creek feeding out (outlet). Assuming this pond is not a kangaroo breeding ground, you will not need any permits.

Step 1) assess kangaroo situation
Step 2) get permit (if required)
Step 3) dig trench from inlet to outlet around existing pond
Step 4) build temporary dam at inlet and outlet to prevent water from entering pond, forcing it to use trench.
Step 5) wait for unbearably warm Austrailian sun to evaporate pond. Or rent a 12 kangaroo-power pump (I think this is a 3.5 horsepower pump in the States) to drain pond.
Step 6) do your bobcat shit
Step 7) destroy outlet dam
Step 8) destroy inlet dam
Step 9) destroy trench
Step 10) enjoy a bloomin' onion

You're kidding right? PU foam can break door frame out of wall if applied too generously.

Cement should be fine. It would contract if anything. Use more sand, to make the bulk of "passive". Still, without reinforcements (steel armature and sharp, hard rocks) it's quite fragile anyways. Maybe there are better options?

I'd look into just coating the inside of it with something more rigid.

Cherry MX for the buttons should work fine - I think you will be disappointed using Cherry MX for the joystick switches though - the travel is so big that your joystick will have a huge deadzone.

Here is the part where the buzzing noise comes from, I am assuming this is some kind of motherboard.

Anyway, I can't pinpoint the exact origin of the noise, but it seems to come from the lower half.
I was expecting some loose connectors or balls of dust clogging something, but everything looks fine and I'm not too much into electronics to identify all the things I'm seeing.

If you guys need additional pics or details, just ask.

I just want to understand if this looks like something fixable by myself or if there is some kind of additional test to identify the malfunctioning part.

On an unrelated note, I was looking at this metal bar with 10 slots in there. I have no idea what are those white things inside each slot and they are all covered by transparent plastic film.
Some of them have what looks like burning marks on the film though, what are they? How would I know if something is wrong in there too?

Keep in mind the TV has been repaired by Sony shortly after purchasing because of burned pixels and uneven patches of colours on the screen, so those marks may be leftover from the previous repair.

Any help? Should I just bring it to a professional or wait for an actual problem to arise?
What can I do to understand where the noise comes from and see if it is an easy fix?

People are stupid and afraid magnets with technology.

You are right, there is some concern for your speaker and compass. your phone will use your compass as part of an inertial navigation system while using the gps, so test to see if that still acceptably and that you can use the mic, speakerphone, and speaker acceptably.

When the phone moves into and out of the magnetic field it can produce voltage spikes in the electronics. There are many factors involved. It really depends on the penetration of the magnetic field into your phone's electronics.

If the magnet is mounted on the car and the battery of the phone is right over the magnet when you take it on and off, there shouldn't be a problem. The battery pack inside the phone should protect the rest of the electronics from the magnetic field.

If the magnet is attached to the phone and never taken off, it won't harm it since it is never moving.

If your phone as some sort of magnetic sensing device, the magnet could ruin that sensor. If the magnet is too close to the microphone or the speaker, it could also ruin those.

Since the magnetic field of the magnet is very shallow, there's less of a chance of it harming something. But, there are really too many factors involved to be 100% safe unless you know what your doing.

I used FamiTracker to do a few "8-bit" covers of a few songs I liked in a "Nintendo" style.

Its simple and easy to use also freeware so that's a plus.

A[art from that if you suck at general composition you can use something like TuxGuitar to get you started on writing in midi and than converting it to shittier midi...I mean chpune.

Windows has done this since windows 95 for normal applications.

If you can get old laptop screens for cheap or free, you can buy controller cards for them from eBay (assuming it isn't some rare type of screen).

I did this for a laptop screen and the controller board was only AU$20 inc. shipping. It had a VGA input and HDMI input on it, and some buttons to control the screen menus (brightness etc).

This way of doing it would mean one output on a video card = one screen.

If you could get a single controller board for multiple monitors that would be pretty cool, but probably more expensive.

Keep in mind that the screens may look like crap if they aren't very closely related - the colours may be a bit off, or the brightness might not be able to be matched etc.

You fucked up a speaker and didn't even do it the right way. You could have at least tried to fix the surround the proper way and, even if you fucked it up, you would have tried and probably learned something. Instead you went full redneck/nigger rig on it. Why type of wood is it? A lot of common woods (such as Oak) are mildly toxic, while some others (Yew) can be very toxic, especially to small children.

Maple is extremely non-toxic to humans, and has a dense, hard grain structure to boot so you can be relatively sure that splinters don't break off in the kid's mouth.

If the wood is sufficiently non-toxic I'd leave it bare, if it's not then I'd do a thick layer of polyurethane or something else that sits on top of the wood.

Mineral oil is what most people use on wooden salad bowls or kitchen pencils. Don't use baby oil because there are fragrances and other crap added to the mineral oil.
Mineral oil does not dry. And requires additional coats to protect the wood.

Another alternative is to use boiled linseed oil and allow it to dry thoroughly. Then use paraffin wax to coat the wood. Once dried the BLo is non-toxic and will harden the wood. The paraffin wax creates a nice smooth waterproof seal.
