Hello guys,
I am not an expert in cooking so i tried to make a tomato soup with rice, there wasnt too much ingredients at home today so i wanted to go cheap.
Well but at the end it ended up just being pure rice maybe i added a bit too much.
Any idea ,what to do with it, how to fix or make something else out of it?

You're pretty much fucked, ese. Even if you add more tomato paste to thicken it/make it more rich (also, add herbs and spices for flavour) and further cooking will just break the rice down and it'll turn into mush.
I guess you could make a really thick And flavoursome soup in another pan and mix it in? Lots of tomato paste, stock and herbs/spices? But you said there isnt much in your house. So... Enjoy your watery rice rip

I assume by "knife block" you are referring to a set of knives rather than the actual wooden block alone?
Best advice: don't get a set. You end up paying more money for knives that you won't end up using. What should you get? IMHO:
1) A chef's knife as large as you can comfortably handle. This will do 95% of your cutting tasks.
2) An inexpensive serrated knife for bread.
3) An inexpensive paring knife for the little fiddly stuff.
4) A means of sharpening your new knives.

hey /ck/,
i need to make a lot of poured sugar at once, around 9 or 10 liters. can anyone help me? i need to calculate the right amount of product to use to get the right quantity. but every recipe i found doesn't specify the volume of sugar i'm gonna end up with.
i'm using a recipe consisting of a mix of granulated sugar, water and glucose syrup.
the recipe says: 1kg of sugar, 400gr of water, 160gr of glucose syrup.

make the recipe you listed once, see how many liters the result is and then multiply the ingredients by (volume you measured / volume you want) minus volume you measured
