Looking for pierogi stuffing ideas. Trying to do something other than the typical potato/onion and cheese. I'm interested in both sweet and savoury ideas.

In my experience the stuffing is the most important part of what makes a pierogi a pierogi.

You can add whatever the fuck you want, but then it will just be some kind of generic dumpling (which isn't necessarily a bad thing).

I've been making pierogis for a few years now with my gf and her family and always suggest doing a few batches different, and am always met with NO, these are the only fillings we can make, with only slight variations, we for some reason need to make it like this because this is a family recipe, that we've adapted and are now basically just following from online.

approx. 70 grams of peeled and cooked chicken livers
approx. 0.5 kg boiled potatoes
3 medium-sized onions
125g butter
salt, pepper

Liver also tastes great with raspberries or cinnamon, so you could try that too.

I was gifted some fresh sansho peppercorns recently.

When I was first given them I was told to try one whole, and it was a combination of sticking your tongue on a 9 volt battery with a strange flavor I'd never had before.

I was then told to try drinking some water, which turned out to be like drinking extra carbonated, citrus soda with the sansho still in your mouth.

Now I have a decent sized bag of them but have no idea what to do with them.

What would you do?

i just moved appartments and with the moving costs new apliances basic needs and increased security deposit i'm down to around $50,- for food till around the 17th, what are some ways i can refrain from eating only ramen this month? any places i should go for the cheapest meat, vegtables ect?

i use just cocoa powder and add in some sugar or honey. then i'll add some spices like nutmeg or cinnamon, cardamom, y'know. vanilla is neat too.
i don't add in marshmallows. sometimes a bit of whipped cream. i also like to make hot cocoa from dark chocolate. just melted in milk.

that picture is the seafood version. I had the regular kind the other day and it honestly wasn't as hot as I was expecting. definitely top 3 as far as noodles I've eaten, but it's something you could probably eat normally and not just on a dare. I think the samyang spicy chicken flavor is spicier. I was surprised that it actually had a good fried meat taste behind the heat.

So I just landed a job at the google headquarters as a cook at one of their many on campus cafes. Does that mean I can go around to bars and tell women that I work at google to increase my chances of them sleeping with me? Pretty sweet gig actually, pays above industry average, mon-fri only, and only breakfast and lunch.
