Have you ever left a restaurant without paying?
It's like the easiest crime ever.
I wanted to try many times but somehow my human deceny always kicks in and I end up paying anyways. It's kinda funny since I've done worse things without a second thought.

>easiest crime ever
>waiter remembers your face
>can never eat there again
>or if you get caught, you get arrested
Nice plan
My local Chinese buffet has a wall of shame for people who leave without paying.

Pretend you're on your phone and get out to talk. Then just walk away. If a waiter comes after you say you got distracted, aplogoize and go back.
The police is not gonna do a search for someone who ate some 20$ plate and snuck out.
Then just don't go to the place for a while. If they do recognize you say you just forgot and pay up, no big deal.
Okay, so I fucking love stew. Grew up on the shit. Grandma's stews were the shit, and since she practically raised me, that's what I ate. Soul food was her specialty.
To her, stew was whatever you had lying about, thrown in a pot, and cooked for a long period of time, add roux, simmer, and serve. That's how I've always made stew.
There were never any recipes required, and it almost never tasted the same. But it was always melt in your mouth, comfort food that kept you full for most of the day.
What is stew to you glorious faggots?
Pic related, current stew... Stewing n shit.

whats in your stew you fag
I have a friend who makes a delicious stew. It's this chili-like stuff, but there are beans in it. Sometimes I think I might like it even better than chili.
What's your favorite meal to get at KFC? pic related - it's a 2 piece (thigh and leg), chips, coleslaw and potato/gravy.

I don't really eat any fast food beyond football season. However, every Sunday before the game, I'd buy us either a couple of pizzas, a couple of those taco hell party packs or kfc. When I'd hit kfc, I'd get the biggest bucket of regular recipe with mashed taters, gravy, green beans and cole slaw. That shit was so perfect when you're already half in the bag at kick-off.
Do people really order anything other than the standard breast, two wings, potatoes, gravy, biscuits and cole slaw?
Could /ck/ recommend me some sandwich condiments/sauces? I want to branch out from plain ol' yellow mustard, because as much as I love it (simple tastes, man) I know there's a lot more out there.
So much more, however, that it's intimidating and I don't know where to begin when I walk into that sauce aisle at the store. What does /ck/ put on their sandwiches?
And I mean, like, plain old meat-and-cheese, made-in-five-minutes-for-lunch sandwiches
Yellow mustard
cha
brown mustard
Got a bunch of chicken drumsticks cu/ck/s, not sure what do with them, was thinking some kind of casserole, pls help me.
A drumstick casserole sounds like a great idea.
Just be sure to add a good amount of pepper and cheddar before pouring on the cream of mushroom soup.

That sounds awful.

Fried chicken m8 or chicken curry, pollo guisado ( braised chicken). Or a basic chicken potato veg roast.
Why don't more people eat ricotta cheese?
It actually tastes better than cottage cheese. I can eat ricotta by the spoonful without adding anything to it, but I have to add shit to cottage cheese like salt, pepper, hot sauce, etc. to make it palatable.
I eat ricottage cheese
Ricotta is great but too rich. I can only eat a spoonful or two before it starts to feel disgusting. A small bowl of cottage cheese is good though, especially with a bit of fruit on the side.

When a recipe calls for, say "ground pepper", it just means black pepper right?
Are the other varieties called by their color in recipes? Like, "ground green pepper" or so?
>>7365040
Post the recipe and maybe someone will know which type of pepper best suits the dish.
But I would black is the default.
black pepper unless otherwise specified
>>7365040
Usually yes. But if I like the dish I'd experiment with another type of pepper when I cook it again
Who did this shit?
Just eat them, OP.
Marge
i want to know who paid for this
What do you ironically order at a bar?
PBR (or whatever macro), Malort shots, tiki drinks.
>what do you ironically
whatever I fucking want because irony is insecurity's shittiest form
woop post-post modernism
one of two things
1. cocktail i want to make at home but wish to try before i buy all the ingredients
2. a new beer
That's pretty much it
I don't have the money to ironically buy anything at a bar
What are some good vidya gaming snacks? Bonus points if its something a little more sophisticated and quick you can make with real ingredients and not a packaged/processed product
Why would you need specific snacks just for playing video games?
>sophisticated
>quick
>real ingredients

Who here actually works in the food industry?
>had to peel the skin off of ~200 of these fuckers yesterday
the underside of my thumbnails are bruised as shit. I fucking hate this.
Tell more about your job, man. Would like to know about it
they didn't give you a spoon?
I work for a meatball food truck. I make 400-500 meatballs a day 3-5 times a week. I've made over 100,000 of these things.
;~;
it sucks but good money.
If you were tasked with creating a new Ben & Jerry's flavor, what would it be?
Peach and Praline Stars.
Call it Peach for the Stars.
>>7345015
Literally anything with blueberries.
You NEVER see blueberry flavored stuff, not candy, not soda, rarely syrup, so I has to be ice cream
I'm thinking blueberry crumble, vanilla ice cream with real blueberries stirred inside.

Is this deal still going on?
I stopped off at a McD's I don't usually go to and they said it was $2.50. Last time I picked this up was like 2 weeks ago at my regular stop.
I was wondering if this was just a rogue McD's with their own pricing or some shit. Reminds me of a time I went to a Wendys out-of-town and everything on their "dollar menu" was $1.25.
The 2 for 2 ended this past sunday
currently there will be the 2 for 5 (big mac, 10 nugg, filetofish, 1/4 pounder) starting at the end of the month
Dont know if your local restaurant is the same but mine started two filet for 5 dollars
>>7366154
Thanks man.
cooking retard here
I'm about to grill a pork steak. Thinking of covering it with BBQ spice before I stick it in.
Is there anything fancy I can do to make it more exciting?
>>7365749
make a (grilled) pineapple salsa to go with it.
what the fuck is bbq spice?
>>7365759
I've got a jar of this stuff
GUYS I NEED FOOD SAFETY EXPERTS HERE
I've taken Servsafe classes and I should be still certified, probably gonna expire in a year or so...
But anyways, what about cooking meat with COLD instead of heat?
I understand to kill parasites in sushi a hard freeze and good thaw SHOULD in THEORY disrupt cell membranes in parasites enough to basically kill them.
What you froze a steak of any meat, thawed in the fridge, and froze it again before bringing it up to room temperature sous vide style?
Would it be perfectly safe to eat?
are you retarded
>>7362806
>Thawing meat is the same as cooking it with cold
Epic
>>7362829
Are you mentally deficient? He said he would hard freeze the meat twice before letting it get to eating temperature.
The two freezings would be the cooking with cold.
