When a recipe calls for, say "ground pepper", it just means black pepper right?
Are the other varieties called by their color in recipes? Like, "ground green pepper" or so?

This was the recipe I was thinking of making today but I've seen the "ground pepper" around so I just wanted to make sure.

no, it means use ground pepper as opposed to sky pepper or water pepper.

If I saw 'ground pepper' in a recipe, I would use black pepper, yes.
