why didn't you invest in apple when the newton came out?

Because I was 7 years old at the time

why did no one invest in apple when the newton came out?

Has anyone ever had luck flipping shit online? Like finding a deal or an ending auction and sold it back for more? Is it good to just stay in s relative market you know or compulsively buy shit you see cheap?

I find beat up quality furniture in junk stores and flea markets. I learned from Youtube videos how to repair them if possible. I resell it on Craigslist for 80 to 200 dollars more. I sell 3 or 4 pieces a month. All cash.
>>
Use FatFingers to find these type of listings on eBay.

Go to yard sales. I always see old people who's husband/father has passed away and is selling tools and other expensive man things for real cheap because they don't know the worth.
>>
>>986930
What kind of furniture do you do this with?

Tables, chairs and like seem like they are too big for people to want to buy it from some guy on craigslist.

There are tons of free furniture on craigslist, why not just take their free stuff and flip it for >100% profit?

Has anyone packed up their bags and just moved overseas? American here. I'm thinking about doing that. Maybe moving to Switzerland. I'm an CPA (accountant). How hard would it be to find a job there or elsewhere in Europe or Asia.

>Has anyone packed up their bags and just moved overseas?

You need to get a job offer and for a company to sponsor you in order to move overseas. Otherwise you can only stay for a length of a visa which is usually only a month or two for almost every country.

>Maybe moving to Switzerland

You can't just "pack up your bags" and arrive at Zurich airport. Switzerland is very strict on granting citizenship and you will likely only be able to work there for a few years if you have a job offer.
>>
>>986610
>you can only stay for a length of a visa which is usually only a month or two for almost every country.

Does that mean I can go to Switzerland for a month, then Denmark a month, Spain a month, etc.? Or is it one month in all of EU?

How do I go about getting a job offer from some place in Europe? Just apply?
>>

>Does that mean I can go to Switzerland for a month, then Denmark a month, Spain a month, etc.? Or is it one month in all of EU?

I'm guessing for all countries, since if you have citizenship in any EU country you can freely go to any of them.

>How do I go about getting a job offer from some place in Europe? Just apply?

Be top-tier professional that they companies are willing to sponsor and are nterested in. It's pretty hard, but shouldn't be too difficult since you got CPA.

Is Community College a meme?
I'm planning to study either marketing, business administration or network engineering.

Poorfag from Germany here therefore I cannot afford a bachelor at proper University.

Yes it's a meme.

People who go there are borderline retarded and the professors are unqualified. I thought University in Germany was free? Why do Germans always brag about Muh socialism?
>>
A German friend says that universities are free over there? And that you are able to go directly into a trade (banking, construction, programming) without and general education classes.

Does playing economic based video games mean I'm doomed to be unsuccessful?

Pic related its my favorite game.

>>986523
Playing ANY videogaymes in your freetime instead of using it to improve yourself or earn money more or less dooms you to being unsuccessful, and average at best.
>>
>>986527

But if I am experimenting with an economic simulation am I not improving myself?
>>
>>986532
No you're just lying to yourself.

Start reading books and studying finance, videogaymes are not a good simulation.

He did, jobs was a notorious fucking prick and weird-level alpha about it. He'd invite interns in while he's wearing workout shorts and lift his legs on the table as if he were reclining, only so they could see down his pantlegs to his throbbing erection.

So I am 27 and since I am an autistic virgin loser with no friends so I live with my mom and help financially support her since she is disabled and can't work. Well I think we are going to lose the house this year any ways, so I was looking at buying a trailer. I would basically be able to put down 50%-80% of the full cost of the trailer and pay it off within one to two years. I talked to people about this plan and they all laugh and made fun of my idea to buy a trailer. They said it is trashy and shitty and nobody would ever want to come over and I will never get a girlfriend that way.

So the other alternative is to rent. Renting an apartment cost a lot more and I don't get any ownership of the property. I would also get two less bedrooms and far less square feet, plus attached neighbors.

so /biz/ is buying a trailer a good investment compared to renting? I make about $60,000 a year but I don't want to buy a full-blown house because then I am forever paying on it.

Am I stupid? Should I just rent?
28 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
Lot rent is normally high, I believe typically higher than the mortgage of the trailer monthly. Reselling is supposedly a bitch because no one wants to live in a trailer.

A large part of it is that trailers are so cheap because they are built using the absolute cheapest materials and they are not keen on being repaired, changed, etc.

Buy a cheap RV and live in that
>>
>>986414

Trailers depreciate
>>
Also, reminder that if you want to replace an existing mobile home, you'll have to get the old one demolished and hauled away at a not insignificant cost. A trailer parked for more than a few years won't be roadworthy enough to move.

Sup /biz/,

I managed to weasel my way into an internship of any kind in the European Investment Bank.

I would like to work in investment banking when I graduate and I was wondering which division inside the EIB would look best on my resume.

What would you suggest?

Call me a cu ck or a lazy NEET or a retard or whatever hot memes you /biz/ fellows like to call people, but this board is easily the most depressing place on 4chan. How do you not feel empty inside, saving all your money and focusing the majority of your time on ways to make more? On posting/following overly generalized advice and desperately clinging on to the hope that you'll be one, the one out of hundreds and hundreds and thousands of people who've read the same exact shit you've read that becomes rich. What the fuck do you plan on doing with a hundred thousand dollars? What about a million? 10 million? 100 million? 1 billion? Tell me /biz/, why aren't you content with your current income?

The cost of living in the midwest is pretty low. It might not necessarily be about being poor. Things are cheaper in general in these places, even people who make a lot of money might not necessarily like overpaying for shit.

I live in Texas, and honestly it's pretty great.

>no state income tax
>gas is cheap
>rent is cheap
>food is cheap
>beer is cheap

What more could you want. I can live pretty comfortably on my 80k a year salary while in New York or LA I'd be living like someone who makes $30k a year here does. It's pretty ridiculous actually.

What's a job where you can save a lot of money?

I'm thinking something where food and accommodations are paid for, so you can minimize your expenses, something with lots of hours, and a decently high pay rate.

thoughts?
