I make these little cute fucking cut-out-pics of my little pony and various other characters and put them in pictures frames etc for friends who have children and other stuff!
Was mainly just a hobby considering i dont have a television, and a way of dispersing the item when i was finished.
So i made a birthday card for my friends daughter (NOT IN THE PICTURE) thought it was pretty cool, took round to the house and daughter opens it up, all the adults started asking if i made the card and how it was made. Some took photos to show others my friends sister keeps talking about.

Was just curious to see if i can turn my little hobby into a profit maker. Aprreciate all opinions anons. Thanks.

You'd need to find a local toy/comic show to set up a table at. I attend a number of shows and spend a decent amount of money on art. Especially stuff that's a little off the beaten path (but not gross, like all the bloody vampire zombie goth crap). Although I think you would've done much better with MLP 2-3 years ago. Still, I'd probably but one if I saw it at a show.

Hey /biz/, I need some advice.

Long story short - I have an online business and have been contacted by a larger competitor saying they might want to buy me out. I am speaking to their CEO on Thursday. The price would be 5, possibly 6 figures.

I have been thinking about how to price my assets and what factors to consider. Obviously there is the monthly profit and the SEO I've built over the years (assuming they want to take the domains as well as the user base and content).

However, as I'm sure you can tell, I'm an amateur at this, in fact this project I'm selling started out as a hobby, in the fantasy sports niche. I've also never sold anything of this size in my life. I am a programmer.

Can /biz/ give me any advice as to the following:

1) What factors outside my own profits should I consider when setting my price?
2) What should I research about the competitors and/or the market?
3) Anything else you think may be useful.

try to milk him for as much money as possible. start high when making the deal. take money and funnel it into another website. you already know all your keywords and what seo worked for the website so just buy a shitload of content and out rank your original/competitors website.

WILLIAMS PARTNERS LP (WPZ)

Williams Partners, LP (WPZ) is an MLP that operates regulated interstate gas pipelines, gas gathering pipelines and processing plants, NGL fractionation plants, and a petrochemical cracker (which consumes ethane and propane to produce ethylene and propylene)

Despite having an irreplaceable asset based built around one of the single most valuable pipelines in North America (Transco which is a regulated gas pipeline connecting the Northeast with the Gulf Coast), WPZ is trading at ~.5x book value, 8x EBITDA (not a tax payer) and carrying a 14%+ dividend yield (that is classified as a return of capital and therefore pays no tax). The stock is down 54% YTD and is trading at multi-year lows…despite EBITDA estimates for 2015 being revised less than 10% over the last year. For perspective, EBITDA is growing 25-30% this year and for the next couple of years.

I think the future is strong. There is a shortage of pilots across the industry due to mandatory retirement ages and the 1500-hour rule that the FAA instituted after the Colgan crash (assuming you're in the US).

The problem is how the industry is structured. You pay your $60k to go through the ranks privately (PPL->IR->CPL->Multi->CFI), do your CFI duties, then get hired for a shit-tier regional making $10/hr for five years. Then, you move to the world of mainlines and make the real money. As long as you're not a moron, you can be pretty much guaranteed six figures later in life, working maybe half the month, and travel benefits for you and your family (if you still want to travel). But it's 7-10 years of grueling existence to get on that gravy train. I don't see this changing in 30 years.

800 point moves in 24 hours isn't good..unless you're trading futures

About to get my hands on $200K. What is the best way to turn that into a mostly passive income stream (doesnt need to be 100% passive, but I need to be able to maintain a day job too)? Leaning towards buying 2 4 senpai apts near one of the local colleges; any better ideas?

If you're going to have a day job the best thing would be to set up a mutual fund that reinvests and focus on your day job. If you need the money for something (or you want to do some enterprise, such as the apartment idea), it depends on what's available in your area and your stomach for risk.

hey guys, have you ever thought about making an online business that you can work from anywhere, and go on vacation 365 days a year or live in low wage places eg. thailand, china, and enjoy high quality life despite having maybe just average american wage? it sounds awesome doesnt it?

problem is, it seems pretty hard to make an online business with consistent earnings. blogs need millions or hundreds of thousands of views per month just to earn $300-3000.
so what are some types of online businesses that actually provides consistent earnings without huge traffic?

Do you remember making a cool hundred million gp in Runescape 10 years ago? I do. Do what you did for that.

Don't remember? It was called 'Merchanting' and it's still the best thing to do. Buy low, sell high.

People on eBay, Amazon, Craigslist, etc. are constantly looking for things to buy and you can constantly be finding those things for significantly cheaper than they're willing to pay. The real $$$ comes once you find a few clients that are, by nature of their reason for purchasing, going to be repeat-customers so you get more into a schedule.

There are places on the internet to buy things in bulk (Alibaba, etc.) or you might just find a better deal on something on one of the competing websites. You get them for less and you sell them for more. It's easy in theory but it takes work to make money.

This is what I do. I'm currently posting from South Africa but I'm only visiting. I spend about a quarter of the year living in Canada (with my parents) but the rest of the time I'm abroad.

Are other people making more money than me with less effort / better strategies? Fuck yes they are. But I'm staying in my own lane while saving because this is what works for me right now.

I spend ~6 hours working per day but I usually work 7 days a week so it's not like I'm a master of passive income or anything like that either, OP. Just fair warning.

There's a few, which author?

Hey /biz/, newfag here.
I've decided that I would like to start my own e-commerce business and I have a rough idea of what industry and products I would want to sell through my (soon to be) web store.
Now I did some research and have found some resources that I'm using to learn the basics of operating online sales,
but the only thing that I'm having trouble wrapping my mind around is the concept of building a brand.
This is my first time taking on a project like this and I don't want to ask to be spoon fed.
I'm actually enjoying taking on the learning curve for this.
However, if any nice /biz/nessmen could point me in the right direction of what to look into or if you have any resources on the topic it would be much appreciated.

Also, if anyone can recommend sites outside of Shopify or Entrepreneur for some more in depth/advanced tutorials on site development that would be pretty cool.

Or are you talking about a different aspect?

yeah. or otherwise market the products you're selling. apps can be lucrative investments if you integrate them well.

Struggling to find information out there on the most recent country/state to have its energy market deregulated? or even where its being debated

Pennsylvania deregulated its electricity market in 2009. Rates went up 35% overnight and have climbed another 5%-10% every year thereafter. Because reasons. Now we have a constant peddling of schemes not unlike credit cards or cable subscriptions with low(ish) introductory rates that skyrocket halfway into a contract period. Republican talking points BTFO.
>>
>>1050358
Not BTFO. No electricity market is truly deregulated you moron, there's will only one utility company behind it all.
