Hey /biz/, was wondering if you can give me some advice.

I signed a contract with my university. I thought I was going to get more money through channels, but turned out a bit short. By the end of this semester, I'll be at a five grand deficit for my college expenses, which is basically my housing bill. I applied there with financial hardship as through their contract: (http://www.housing.wisc.edu/documents/residence-halls-contract-15-16.pdf). However, they have denied me even though I have legitimately expressed being unable to pay for it (I have a job, can't take out a private loan due to no co-signers/credit, unable to do research studies and no work study is available to me. Also I am short on scholarships.

At this point, do I take them to court? I'm starting to document all that I have done for my situation at this minute (I had even gone to a bank to ask for a loan knowingly full well they wouldn't give it to me. I have it in writing.)

TL;DR Need Advice for a Claims Dispute.

I want to do freelance It work. Basically fixing computers and stuff. I have no testimonials or any certifications but I'll have an associates in IT in a few months. I was thinking I could get some high quality business cards and a website and I'd be all set, but I'm not sure. Any thoughts?

Look up grants you're eligible for in your state/country. Starting a company because there's a grant the government offers in the industry is a bad idea though

That is a long and expensive process. Google can answer this for you. Will need a patent attorney. And those fuckers aren't cheap.

Your university can probably help you get a patent. They will take a percentage from any profits you make from it though.

I don't know if there's a holding time limit cut off before trading becomes investing but I don't care. And I nkow that Investment bank traders are market makers.

I made this topic because I watched videos where he gives his opinion on macro and big picture stuff. Obviously he's smart but is he just mistaken in trying to convert his smartness in to reliable investment / trading decisions?

I have a sole propiertorship in California and had a few questions. Firstly, how hard would it be to change the name of my business? Would it be easier to file a whole new business and just change the name on the bank account?

Secondly, how hard would it be to convert a Sole Prop to an S-Corp or LLC? Would that also require another filing?
