Anyone got experience in building a social media precense from scratch? I've been running a car-focused Instagram account for about a month and I've surpassed 1000 followers - looking to build this up even more to the point where I can begin selling shoutouts/advertisement. If you've got experience doing something similar any advice is appreciated. Also, has anyone purchased followers for social media before? Thinking about it, but very on the fence.

>where I can begin selling shoutouts/advertisement

You'd need hundreds of thousands if not millions of followers to actually make fair money doing that. Unless you become big a your home market like a radio host or local news anchor.

But the main thing is posting lots of content. Try to be original but you can copy pasta things and add your own twist to them to keep a steady flow up.

I get that - but it all starts small

>"are you sure?"
>don't pay attention

>cancel button is on the right when it's usually on the left.
>accidentally delete all bookmarks, favorites, extensions, and apps, with one click.

How the fuck is that even possible? I used "recuva" to get my deleted bookmarks file but the file was some weird file I know nothing about(file). My other bookmark files say "checksum" at the top, then list my bookmarks in the middle of a bunch of code. Does any one know what the hell this kind of file is and how I deal with it??(pic related) is there any way for me to translate it so it can be read? I want to just put it into the new default profile, but it cant be read as is.

I tried unicodeUTF-?, Windows125?, GBK, ISO-?, and every other type of encoding I could think of, but none change anything. I have no clue what the file is, or what type of file it even is. Can somebody help me out. I really want my bookmarks back. There were hundreds of them. And, there are no previous versions under properties on my computer, I don't have a system "image", but I do back up my files and system every couple days. The problem is that every time I try to restore to a previous time it tells me there's an error and it "can't extract c:/ error 0x8000ffff" I already uninstalled BitDefender, Malewarebytes, and turned off all firewalls. I think that file is my bookmarks file, it just can be read in the state it's in.

you all want to talk about tips and tricks?

first, I have a question:
Let's say I have a good amount of skrillah
I want to give it to family members.
I can set up trusts. but
What if I lose a lawsuit to a sibling?
Assuming we both represent each other, would that be a cool way of transferring money-especially if we settle out of court?

Do you guys have any legitimate tips for wealth management?
I like trusts and non-profit organizations.

Try making sense first. Your picture and post make no sense at all - they're a disorganized schizophrenic word salad.
Visiting a psychiatric doctor and getting assessed and medicated for your illness might be a good first step.

Hes basically asking if losing a lawsuit to a sibling is a good way of avoiding tax

China's central bank said on Tuesday that it will inject over 600 billion yuan ($91.22 billion) to help ease a liquidity squeeze expected before the Lunar New Year in early February.

The People's Bank of China will inject the funds via its policy tools of the standing lending facility (SLF), medium-term lending facility (MLF) and pledged supplementary lending (PSL), it said in a statement on its website.

I personally try to time the market. I graduated in 2008 so I didn't save up money and invest in the stock market until the DOW was down to ~7,000 level. I moved it all to cash around a year ago when the DOW hit 15,000 since I thought stocks were overpriced and there would be a correction. I missed out on some gains, but I'll reinvest once we have another recession.

>Senior bitcoin developer says currency 'failed experiment'

>Mike Hearn, a longtime senior developer on bitcoin and the former chair of the bitcoin foundation’s law and policy committee, announced in a blogpost that he would be selling his coins and quitting development on the project. “Despite knowing that bitcoin could fail all along, the now inescapable conclusion that it has failed still saddens me greatly,” he wrote.

What one man thinks doesn't really make that much of a difference in the big picture. I am still optimistic and plenty of others are as well, including people with even more influence and knowledge than Hearn.

Just within the last couple of days things are looking quite bright as a lot of users and miners are expressing support for Bitcoin Classic, which can break open the increasingly worrisome Bitcoin Core development team and its censoring and arrogant influential supporters, and thus demonstrate bitcoin's anti-fragile construction.

It failed the minute a few rich people in China got 51% of the mining power. We still have no idea if they were colluding or not. Even if they weren't in it together somehow, no one realized that the largest communist country in the world had effectively committed a 51% attack until it was too late. We would have realized the attack sooner had we not been sucking Mt. Gox's dick on potential $1000+ per coin valuations.

As was said in his Medium post, Bitcoin began to suffer a lot of things related to human greed. It transformed from a supposed money replacement to another investor pump and dump.

For the casuals: The latest drama with Mike Hearn calling Bitcoin a failed experiment is a strategic move by R3CEV to influence banks and industry away from Bitcoin, it further proves the fear they have of it being a success (which is not working, as we have tons of new stuff comming soon with 0.12, which will translate in a price recovery over the next weeks as we've seen before after alt-fork fears, which translates in a good opportunity to buy at a discount -pic related-, nontheless ups and downs are irrelevant and just market noise in the long term towards Bitcoin's unstopable path of victory).

If you noticed, yesterday at the Hutchins Center, they had a very important meeting comprised of 15 or so people. They included 6-8 members from the Federal Reserve, R3CEV members, Bitcoin industry members, and also individuals from greater finance.

When the R3CEV guy was speaking, https://youtu.be/R0iArSIU0Z8?t=47m16s [Embed] (@47m16s) , he was saying "I don't know what time it is, but any minute now there will be a New York Times article saying Mike Hearn broke up with Bitcoin and called it a failed experiment."

R3CEV, which is a consortium of 42 banks, paid for the New York Times article and hired a photographer in Zurich to snap that picture of Mike Hearn. Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/40zhgi/mike_hearn_the_bitcoin_believer_who_gave_up/cyyg36s (look up who that guy is)

How ironic that the article was published during a industry and policy panel. During this panel, which comprised of important people in the financial industry, we're learning about Bitcoin and blockchain. Once they get out of the meeting, and search Bitcoin, they will all see articles saying Bitcoin failed.

This was a nice strategic move by R3CEV to influence the greater industry away from Bitcoin.

The timing of the NY Times article, this policy panel, Mike Hearn's medium blog post, fits all too well. I wonder what their next futile move will be (probably the Classic shit)

So. What possible new "stuff" can bitcoin provide...from a utilitarian standpoint , that another coin or these industries simply making their own blockchains cant achieve?

Onviously the security of the size of the btc chain but since the incentive keeping the chinese mining is cash thats sort of a lose end (if pruce drops below break even for long enough theyll mine something else)

I feel like bitcoin is the myspace of cryptocurrencies
>>
>tfw the financial industry tries their hand at an altcoin scam

Dont know whether to laugh or cry
>>
>>1045093
The network (users, ecosystem) is what makes it valuable. Everything an altcoin does, bitcoin can implement (and vice versa).
Thats why the banking group is trying to sow discord and divisiveness in the community. When that falls apart, bitcoin goes with it. I wonder how long Hearns has been on their side. The block size is not the real issue.

Without being biased, is flat tax better than having a percentage tax on difference classes?

Are you massively rich? If yes, then a flat tax will decrease your personal tax burden.

Are you not massively rich? Then a flat tax will increase your personal tax burden.
>>
>>1047471
Better in what sense?
>>
There's no way to say without bias because it depends on your priorities. Flat tax is definitely more fair, but the moral value of a fair system can be less than the benefits of progressive tax redistribution to a certain point.

It's really up to the aggregate morality of the country. Should a rich man's resources be spent producing an extra yacht for that successful man, should it become ordinance to drop on our enemies, or something that keeps old people alive?

That kind of question doesn't sit well with most, because it implies that others have power to take the fruit of their labor. But there's also an implicit knowledge that Mr.Big Jew's new Mercedes isn't really that important and he can live with a bigger cut taken out of his income compared to an old widow in west Virginia.

Howdy /biz/.

I'm 20 years old and I'm in my third year of university (biology) without a job.

I have saved up around $40,000 (maplebux) which is just lying in a shitty 1.75% interest savings account from trading vidya game items ($10,000 tied up in other shit).

Lurked the board for a while so I have a very minimal idea of investments and certain meme stocks that are talked about. However, not too sure what to do to better my situation and put my savings to work.

I live with my parents (in a rented house) so I don't really have any bills to pay other than phone bills and netflix, and I live in a Canadian city with a very hyperinflated housing market (due to Chinese millionaire investors) so using the money for a down-payment is next to impossible.

What do /biz/?

Where in Canada are you getting 1.75% interest in a savings account?

It's originally 0.60% but an additional 1.15% for new funds (CIBC)

Canadian here too that wants to know what to do with money sitting in savings. I heard something about mutual funds. Going to talk to the bank this week.
