why do dividend paying REITs always and consistently lose their value? shouldn't they increase it overtime? after all they're real estate why the fuck do they lose their value so fast?

should I just pick dividend stock instead of REITs? if so how do I pick them to make sure they will both grow overtime (as REITs) and pay dividends? it's this the best way to invest? or at least the best way to invest if you don't have much money??

Can you guys post those websites where you can make some small coin doing tasks? It was like $5 here and $10 there type stuff.

I need something to do while my business is slow. I have a home service business that makes good money when I have customers, but it's fucking slow as shit right now. I've had like 1 customer this last month.

I have 10 - 15 free hours every week, and I need the xtra money. I am open to suggestions.

So what the fuck is up with this? How can you have a company for 5 years and have a shit website, no social media no nothing and yet claim you work in advertising?
I feel bad about ignoring the guy, but I don't want to waste time or gas in him

Hey /biz/

What are some recommended reads in relation to biz and economics textbooks.

In the last year I've built a fairly successful business and concepts I learnt in high school which I thought were useless have become extremely beneficial to me and in a major way has set me apart from competition. Concepts like vertical integration, opportunity cost, complimentary services etc. (I know it may seem basic but it's like i'm operating on another level to these guys.)

The few books i've read are more like biographies and self help or baby's first book for business like "Input - Output = Profit" but i want a more advanced, hard facts book to efficiently learn more of these invaluable concepts.

Whe i see that /pol/ leaked over here with a similar happening thread about China going down, i check my currency app because im not good with the business lingo or how serious the business world takes such news.

Hypothetical here.

SpaceX announces the fruits of their first space mining operation. They have brought an asteroid that contains more gold than has ever been mined on Earth, back to Earth orbit. They also have an economical way to get the gold down to the surface.

What happens to the gold market?
If it was brought down all in a short time?
If it was brought down at a slow and steady pace over years?

I need to vent /biz/. My family owns a rice farm here in the US. We're a small business that harvests rice for retail and emergency relief. The relief business is a good one, as it is through government contracting.

Government bids are straight forward, lowest price wins the bid or portion of the bid they solicit for.

Did I mention the part where we're a for profit small business? Over the last 4 years though, non-profits have been crowd funding their way into buying rice farms and competing against us for government contracts. Rice isn't expensive, the overhead can be pricey at times though.

I got some info that my one non-profit competitor offsets their overhead by using donations. Couple that fact with not having to figure taxes into their price, they can lower the bid price lower than a for profit like me can do.

The fuck can I do about that? Our company is not greedy. We have other for profit competitors that helped ensure bid prices remained low. These non-profits though just put a grower out of business because she was specialized in offering relief items like rice and grain.

And people keep giving them free money to do this. Fucking people. They don't see that by helping these non-profits win a federal contract, they're paying for it doubly in donations and taxes.

And America wants to stimulate the economy for "Muh jobs" and taxes. Don't cater to the non-proifts and you'll get the taxes. Don't? My family can sell our business to one of these non-profits with bloated CEO salaries. Less tax income for the gubberment. Awesome.

That's my rant. Fuck em all.
