What's the best way to setup a subscription-based service? I could get mailed a check every month, but I'd like something more official, online, and easy. I don't want my clients to think that much every time they pay me.
There's Paypal but I don't trust them too much with a lot of money.
I'd like something involving credit cards or wiring transfers, something anyone can do already without setting up an account somewhere.
What do you recommend?

They don't have a great reputation.
I don't want someone to file a claim with Paypal when I actually did complete the service. Plus, like I said, I want them to do something that doesn't involve setting up an account.

Hey /biz/! I need some advice.

My family owns a mineral water bottling factory with an on-site well. We had tried producing and selling bottled water for more than a decade, but the competition in my country (Hungary) is too cutthroat, and lacking any connections with the big store owners we couldn't make any significant profits.

So now we want to sell the whole thing and move on. Trouble is, local investors don't really care about the food industry, so we're looking at international buyers, especially with the constant buzz about how freshwater reserves are diminishing all across the world.

Anyone know of a place online that lists industrial properties like this internationally? Google didn't give me any credible results, and all the investment firms I talked to say they only deal in offices or warehouses.

Why not expanding your product portfolio into soda and other beverages, you pretty much already have all the infrastructure necessary to grow.

i'm in the process of establishing a small business and have yet to open a bank account for it. what's the advantages and disadvantages of using a business account over a personal account?

thanks

Business accounts give you features that are more commonly used by businesses, like several users with different credit cards and limits that all feed into the main credit line, quickbooks export, payroll capabilities, bigger limits and lower fees for wire transfer, etc.
On the more practical side having it completely separate from your personal accounts makes bookkeeping a lot easier. You're keeping your books up to date right anon?
>>
>>1083085
i am. thanks for the reply btw. but are there any terrible downsides to a business account? it seems like most banks want a certain amount of money to sit in a business account each month, which is something i can't guarantee. for this reason i am leaning towards personal.

Need some advice on services to offer for a small software development company.

Beginning of last year I started a software development company specializing in mobile apps. We are literally three guys working out of a garage. The profits on the apps aren't spectacular and we are just staying afloat. I (as the owner) spend a lot of time doing miscellaneous tasks to keep the company going and I meet many other business owners who have requested services which we don't offer, but could easily provide for greater profit.

My two 'employees' and I are real generalists with a wide variety of skills. We all have multiple degrees, spent time in half a dozen jobs each and can do pretty much anything when it comes to software, IT business solutions and design.

Company focus:
- Mobile apps

Services we could offer:
- Web development & management
- Online marketing
- Cyber security solutions
- Graphic design
- Business applications

My questions is, would it be a good idea to offer such a wide variety of services? Is there downside to doing this?

Anybody with experience going down this road?

At first, just take on what ever jobs you can manage to make a good profit and a name for yourself. Find out where the biggest profits lie and focus on that.

I need help on something that involved part ownership in something.

Let's take the UFC as an example. For those of you have don't know what it is let's say that it's a sport organization that organizes fighting events.

I am wondering what an arrangement would look like in a fighting organization where every fighter who is currently fighting in the organization is part owner in the organization. The problem is what happens when a fighter leaves the organization or stops fighting completely.

The idea behind it is that the fighters put their health on the line but it is the large owners to take most of the benefits. So it would be more fair in my opinion if the fighters could get some of the profits.

Another similar example is the NFL. I don't know how exactly it works but i think they have some profit sharing scheme. All teams get some of the NFL profits. But in my organization instead of the teams sharing the profit it would be the players. The football players would be part owners in the NFL

So how could you deal with the fact that some players or fighters would leave after a few years. Would they be forced to sell their shares so they can be given to the new athletes? Or could you have a profit sharing plan in place without the participants being part owners?

I am not looking for a discussion like "the NFL does a good marketing job and it's sound capitalism to have a shareholders take all the money".

you could have ownership updated yearly by number of fights
>>
Ownership by group is a stupid concept
>>

Just pay them a percentage of profit from each event.

Dear /biz/ I work for this shit hole, pic related.

anyway, today i met a my district manager who introduced himself as 'daniel'. at first I didnt know that he was the district manager because the whole store knows the DMs name is dylan.

anyway, during the conversation he asks me if i ever met dylan and wanted to introduce me to him, later on i was skeptical and asked a coworker what the mans name was and as stated earlier it was in fact dylan who claimed to be daniel.

I know managers like to play mind games but why the actual fuck would he do this while first meeting me? I dont know what to do about it either

Can someone please explain to me why it's in your own best interest to earn money through "honest work" rather than through stealing or mooching?

Is it at all?

I'm looking for something a little better than name-calling, ad-homos, what your dad used to tell you and all that usual horse shit.

Looking for valid logical arguments.

Feel free to refer me to books/URLs if you don't feel like taking the time to explain it all (as long as they actually answer my question, not just to shut me up)

If you try to persuade me with insults I promise you the same in return.

Because longterm is win, and theft rarely work longterm
>>
I was trying to answer the question on my own.

Best I could muster is:

- to avoid jail-time
- to gain approval of your peers, which can be a valuable strategic asset, nothing to do with how you view yourself privately

>>1082848
good point

Human kind evolved in a tribal society. Honest work means work, that is useful for the tribe. Someone, who is not useful for the tribe will be punished. Male cotribalists wont trust him and stand by his site in war or conflict. Female cotribalists wont mate mith him. He is an outcast. Thats why.

Hi guys, I'm a 20 years old with 45 k in his deposit, actually I'm a wage slave. I don't have loans, I have just my house and my car, I know that a lot of you are smarter then me, and that's why I'm here. Someone could tell me how I can go on retirement as soon as possible? I don't know much about investment, but I have the time and the will to start learning something. Please I don't want to spend my life working, neither for me or for everyone else. I will return the favour if i'll made it. For real. (I'm Italian by the way, I don't know If this change something, as I say I don't know a lot about investment.)
