Wanna help a dumb 21yr old out /biz/?
I've had a bit of a bumpy start to life, but my parents have decided to help me out by helping me build credit. I've been given the options of either paying off car payments ($370 a month, no interest or other extra baggage aside from general taxes,) or paying off a credit card every month.
If I chose the car payment, I'd get a 2017 model, but no credit card. If I chose the credit card, I'd still get a car (paid off,) albeit older and not as safe. CreditKarma (please don't laugh at me,) left me at roughly 675 due to me paying off some student loans a while back. I've got no job, and if I do get one it's going to be piss poor anyway (probably 9-14 dollars/hour at best).
Is there any reason beyond safety to go with the newer car? Would the car payment affect my credit any differently than a credit card? Mind you this was all brought to me with the context of wanting me to be able to eventually move out sooner rather than later.
I'm feeling a bit lost in all of this since I know nothing about finances so by all means feel free to go into the extra details. I've got no idea what I'm doing here.

go for the credit card and get a job. creditors also look at your employment. better if you are on the books. at least you get a car
Why can't you just take the offer of a 2017 model and get your own credit card?
>>1570359
for car just get a fucking used civic or corolla, will last a long enough time, and will save you a lot of money. then just get ur own cc and dont live beyond ur means. easy
Anyone here that owns actually useful stocks besides penny or weed shit?
Anyone that does some real analysis on stocks first?
Im really looking at BMW right now. (the car company).
They have a price/book value rate of 1.15 and an annual BV growth of ca. 10%.
P/E is ~7.6.
earnings and dividends are also growing in the double digits every year.
According to warren buffets intrinsic value calculator BMW stock has a value of ~180 euros while only costing around 76 right now.
Any other well analysed stocks you guys are looking at right now?

>Free trade agreements with UK about to go away
>ECB printing money and negative rates
>Greeks still broke
>Portugal, Spain, and Italy still broke
Good idea OP, put money in Euro.
>>1570289
Book value is nearly useless unless you think the particular company is going to go bankrupt or if you're in a position to buy out the entire company.
BMW has a forward P/E of 7.5 and a P/EG of 7 which is very high. Apparently it's not expected to grow much at all. You're also paying a lot for its cash flow.
Honestly, I would give it a pass. It doesn't have good economics working for it either.
B
>have a sibling who declared bankruptcy in the late 00s
>they've paid off all remaining collections; others have timed out (seven year limit)
>they're now at 550-560 on their credit score
>need to move out of their shithole apartment for some place less ghetto
>all the good apartments require a minimum 600 CR
>they're asking me to be a co-signer, but I don't want to risk my CR
>promised I'd help them get over 600 instead
Without buying a house (obvious) or a vehicle (they don't need one), what's the quickest way, bros? The credit checking sites all recommend getting secured (deposit) credit cards, but is there a faster way?
What about using their current vehicle as collateral, then taking out an easy to pay off loan? They have the funds in the bank to pay off a small loan in an emergency...
can you handle eating a few months of their rent if they become a piece of shit if not dont do it. otherwise do it. its famalam
>>1570235
They're okay, and I'm seriously considering co-signing, but in that case, I want them to break 600 so I'm removed from their lease anyway, so I still have the same question...how quickly can I get them past 600?

If you have a credit card that reports, put them on your credit line but don't give them a card.
How do I partner with a beautiful woman to viral the fuck out of her on the internet and capitalize
>Find hottie
>30/70 partnership
>help her come up with brand
>make social media shit/branding
here is where it gets tricky,
do I aim for a Niche like "hottie who supports Trump" and viral the fuck out of her on places like /pol/, or do I go with an SJW type deal and then capitalize off harassment after I spam her shit?
Is this a good /biz/ness model
>>1570208
yes, but its easier with prostitutes. also getting shit to go viral isnt that easy nor inexpensive.
you have to be FUNNY and she has to be HOT
I saw Ann Coulter bomb bad on some roast and it was cringey as fuck. Coulter is too old and not hot and she is definitely not funny. If your shit is cringey you will fail and Trump supporters won't help you
>>1570348
Don't expect to be super famous. Just want a partner willing to work with me on slowly and steadily building a following. Then she can shill products and shit or we can find other ways to capitalize.
>>1570366
I am not going to even be known. I intend on being the puppet master who guides the hottie into building a following.
Obviously 99% of people will say I'm bringing nothing to the table. I don't deny I need a hottie to accomplish this, hence offering her 70%
I do feel I bring things to the table though.
i have 10000$, what can i buy to make profit of selling it on ebay?
you dont, trade crypto currencies instead
you're welcome
invest it in low cost broad-market ETFs
9950$ on cocaine 50$ on flour
A rich old guy told me married people are better workers, because married people (especially blacks) are less likely to use drugs/alcohol instead of working if they have kids.
so should I use Russian Chinese, Colombian, or Filipina mail order brides?
getting married is a meme, dont fall for it
22 single with no kids here, can confirm degenerate alcoholic
>>1570189
Married people are better workers because they look forward to coming to work to escape from home.
Lets countdown to the moon of DGB
right now it looks like a bullish pennant and could break out later this after noon or early evening
Praise kek
I don't know, that looks more rabbitish than coilish

soon we find out
>be me
>live in canada, decent job, $40k/year
>job has awesome benefits, 4 weeks vacation etc. but I'm looking to make extra money
>girlfriend makes 60k/year at a really small tech company
Her business partner has suggested recently that I could make extra money working as a bookkeeper for some similar small company in my spare time. I'm great with numbers but I have no professional experience bookkeeping, my job is totally unrelated to finance. He says I don't need any actual qualifications to be a bookkeeper, I'm wondering how realistic this is. Anyone have bookkeeping experience or advice? Any resources that might help me learn?
Don't have any advice for you. But tell me how are you people finding jobs in Canada ? I'm struggling to land my first job in Canada with a bachelor's in finance and accounting.
You should email me any positions available in your network or kik mocohocarolyn

I wish I could help you. I spent a few years struggling to find work related to my education and now I drive a delivery truck. It sounds sad but I do really enjoy it...
Not sure if I can do that. I guess I'll keep looking lol
I had to reschedule a payment with a debt collector the other day due to pay roll fuckery.
At the end of the phone call the debt collector asks me if I have heard of Uber. Then she tells me if I sign up to be a driver they will give me a discount on my debt. Then she tried to offer me a high interest rate auto loan through Uber so I could become a driver.
Does that sound like predatory lending practices to anyone else?
That's pretty shady
>>1570135
>Then she tried to offer me a high interest rate auto loan through Uber so I could become a driver.
source on this?
how do we know this is true?
uber is not really worth it at this point it will work out to minimum wage. they used to offer a higher percentage
>be me
>be working for a plumbing company
>open minded about it
>4 months later
>hate it
>contemplating going to Uni and getting a CPA
What am i in for? Is it worth it? Are they even in demand?
Wtf is this?
>>1570126
What happens if you hate that too? What if you hate everything? What if potato chips started growing eyes?
You need to think these things through, anon.
>>1570137
I bet he'd open minded about receiving the penis in the anal cavity too.
>He has less then $500 in his bank account.
You should have about $10,000 in your bank account at all times. $500? Get out of my face.
>>1570065
Oh, i have 543,42€ i guess i am doing good?
Man, i am Brazilian, i don't have $500 in net worth.
I'm completely renovating someone's backyard, I've done this before I've just never been paid for it...How do I give them the quote?
Do I just give them one lump sum?
or
Do I price out each individual material/part and show how it fits into the lump sum?
>Do I price out each individual material/part and show how it fits into the lump sum?
Yes
>>1569977
is it ok to include in the cost a charge for potential extra materials?
or should I just round every cost up to account for this
thanks
>>1569977
This but inflate the cost of materials slightly so your cost of labor doesn't seem too high.
Hey faggots I'm the guy who pumped POT
Next big pump is HUC - we did a test run earlier. Go look at the charts and market depth and the buy walls - and BUY THE DIP
enjoy
>>1569966
How do you find out about these?
>>1569966
naw man DGB is next
its going to hit 1000
HUC is a very unique coin.. since it can be mined by playing a game.. nice concept. Good pump potential too, judging by the graphs.. Buy now or get poor
So I was thinking /sci/ has a stupid questions general why shouldn't we have one? The first step to learning is admitting that you know nothing.
Finances can be confusing and complicated and some people might be ashamed to ask question because they fear to expose their ignorance, but no more! Ask any question no matter how stupid you think it is.
I'll start: What exactly is stopping me from holding a position just long enough until it turns into a profit. Sure there's the possibility it might never bounce back, but experience shows that values always fluctuate so why not just wait till you can sell at profit?
should I sell my twitter stocks now or hope for a little mini rally.
also whats going on with VSTO? their the nations leader in ammunition so I was thinking about investing in them since elections always fuck up the firearms market. their stocks went down a lot over the last month, is now a good time to buy?
>>1569945
sounds similar to the gamblers fallacy
basically the day you fuck up you get rekt and never recover
Do you see all the money here? Why haven't you invested in rehabbing these houses?
you mean gentrification? because thats racist
Takes much more than rehabbing homes in bad neighborhoods (the inner city) to make it a profitable flip. Whole neighborhoods usually needs to be rehabbed and the poor (often blacks) need to be kicked out in order to make the neighborhood safe. Also people want to live near stores they can walk to that they spend money at regularly. All these things need to be taken into account.
When I lived in Cincinnati I would often see flips like those homes on Realtor.com all the time, most of them take 6-12 months to sell if they ever do. The only ones that sell are near the University where lots of shops are and people can make profit renting the place out to college kids.
>>1569983
>find nearby college
>buy entire block
>rehab
>refinance rehab loan
>rent to college kids
>profit
