The next two years will likely be bad as recourse for increased protectionist policy and bringing back tariffs to level costs of labor between bilateral deals however depending on how it affects job growth and competitiveness in the local economy it could be a very good thing in the long term since now more companies in Western countries can afford to startup in the US, Canada, UK, etc. which will grow the economy. However it mostly depends on how China, Mexico and the like retaliate as well as backlash by the public in those countries which seems to be towards full scale revolt and civil wars which will likely cause a crash and massive shortages of products coming from there which once it ends will probably lead to a more stable and safe market for borrowing which will essentially fix the looming debt crashes.

If you are American, get a Robinhood (.com) account. No fees and easy client. Use some of those hours reading/watching videos on day-trading. I learnt most from practice, and discussing the stocks at Stocktwits, it's not as hard as it seems. Investing a few hundred dollars in some penny stocks is a nice way to gain some experience.

Advice:
1. Buy the dip.
2. Have strict stop-losses.
3. Sell before you expect others to sell.
4. Read up on the company.

I'm almost done signing up for a robinhood account. It just asks for a passport or driver's license now. I a good amount of money saved but I still live with my parents, and my father doesn't want me to pay money for a driving instructor. If I need to go somewhere I take my city's bus and/or my bike to get to a location. I have my passport, but it's from when I was around two years old. Searching online doesn't give me information that I can't use that passport if it's still technically my current one. I'm guessing I can still use it then?

Back in high school I made a 69 slide portfolio for Wells Fargo on whether one should invest in the company or not. My final chart analysis stated that it was a good company to invest in for long term profit. This was back in October of 2015, and the stock price did steadily increase until it entered the year of 2016, where it dipped for most if not the whole year. At least now I know when to expect a dip. I'll also look into stop-losses and read up more on the companies. From what I recall my economics teacher from back then had us use yahoo finance for information on a company, so I'll try and use that once again.

The stock wouldn't go down if people didn't sell. Plain and simple. I listen to the news, and I'll hear how housing "dipped" last month which cause "stocks to go down" or someshit. THEY ONLY GO DOWN BECAUSE PEOPLE SELL.

Why does a company have to be depended on their stocks? If they make a product, and it sells, badabing badaboom, company has infinite monies now.

I can understand start-up capital. To even make a product, you need the money to be invested to make the product to begin with. But when the product makes the money, can't the company just give back to these rich retards what they paid or something, and then just continue to make products on their own autonomy?

I'm from Canada and living in the US. It's pretty nice. The weather is better, most things are cheaper, including homes, and salary is higher for what I do, not even counting the good exchange rate right now.

I know it probably barely qualifies me as an expat, but it does give me good benefits like what you're talking about.

Met a really interesting old English guy while traveling in Thailand. Here's more or less his life story from what I remember:

I met him while he was in the planning stages of going for the record again. I haven't tried to contact him since, but it's certainly a more interesting life story than most. It was really striking just how distant he seemed to feel from his home country, I'm really not sure that's the kind of life you want to live
