I'm new to this, but I bought around $500 worth of DBMM. Today the price went up to 0.0010 from 0.0006, and I wanted to sell around $100 worth of stock. I placed the limit order at 0.0010 when the price was 0.0010, but then a few minutes after I placed the order, the price dropped to 0.0008. The sell order is now "Open." It hasn't gone through. Does that mean I didn't actually sell at 0.0010? Does it have to go back up to 0.0010 for the order to go through?

Help me out /biz/...I'm used to Robinhood and things are much easier there.

yes it didn't execute

also stop using them you're getting raped in fees with your little chump change

dumb faggot
>>

Yes it needs to go back up to 0.0010 to execute?

I use TD to get info on stocks I trade on Robinhood, and ended up buying a meme stock (DBMM) I couldn't find on RB. DBMM moved up from 0.0002.

Wew lad, you must be rolling in it
>>
>>1769914
Also, just to clarify, thats $800 profit not even taking into consideration the time spent on the project, delivery time, time it took to sell.
Sounds like a pain in the fucking neck if you're doing it for money, make it a hobby instead.

How important are grades to get into the big four? I've completely flunked in law, tax law, IFRS, auditing (dont know what these courses are called in anglo countries), but I'm confident if I take them again I'll get at least a C in all of them so I can get the registered/chartered accountant whatever you guys call it. But all of my other grades are... poor. I have a few Bs and Cs, but mostly Ds or Es. But they're shitty periferal fields like marketing and stuff which I dont give a crap about.

I know this is asked much and I tried to google it, but I cant get a sensible answer since it seems to vary a lot from country to country. For example the interview process is a lot harder in the UK than it is here in scandinavia from what I gather. Also there's a lot of contradictory stuff, some say they're very strict, some say they've loosened up in the past couple of years, and some say they dont even look at your degree when they consider you (it's only important that you've passed).

So what are your experiences? I need a wake-up call/reassurance, since I feel completely lost and confused and my depression is slowly creeping back again. My teacher today told us that grades aren't that important, but whether or not you learn something and can take something away with you after you're finished, and I almost started weeping since I've done nothing with my time at uni. No relevant work/positions or extracurricular activity. My teacher said today that the important thing isnt whether I get good grades or not, but if you learn something after you're finished. I almost started crying in class.

Fuck, why did I double type that in the end. Meant to say that I've wasted my time and have nothing extracurricular that can bring my poor grades up

The single most important factor besides an internship at one, which also requires good grades

Is whiskey / whisky a good investment?

If you know what you're doing and you have the money to play in the big-leagues - it probably is. The Chinese elite has been going crazy the last few years. It's not there yet, but hard liquor is catching up to wines fast. I don't think it's a viable investment for Average Joe - way too high cost of storage, barrier of entry, spreads on auction houses, etc.

But if you happen to be a millionaire who already has everything else and you happen to be a whiskey buff - sure go for it. Seems like a promising field to be sitting on a cellar of selected and rare vintage whiskeys in a few decades.

So I've been paper trading and reading trading/investing books for a little over 6 months now, and I want to try the real market. I'm interested in these traders who stream and have chatrooms etc., but they all seem like memes. Redpill me on these trading 'teachers'

I torrented a ton of e-books and read most of the ones that were newer than 2008. Most of them are on technical analysis, and others are on market basics. I can list them out if you actually want a whole list

So I've got about $25k worth of student loan debt at 6.55% fixed rate apr. Should I be shopping around for a bank or credit union to loan me this amount at a lower rate? Or will I just get flat out refused without some kind of collateral?

Yes I did fall for the college meme and the student loan meme, at least it landed me a decent job or I would really be fucked.

General tips on managing debt are welcome. I never learned much about finance

my sl is 3.25% there is no way i can get better deals. if you can into early repayment do that or at least halve your loan amount this will save you a shitton of money.

last time i got offered a loan to replace my student loan it was 11% apr. i was pretty curious who the moron would be who went for it.
>>
>>1769368
don't get a loan to pay off another loan, as if you get fired for some reason or your loan defaults then you not only owe the school money but now you owe the bank/credit union as well

ask for a payment plan and budget your money accordingly
>>
>>1769368
Best to just live like a peasant and just pay it off asap. Student loans are a fucking plague.

Thoughts on commission only sales jobs? I have an interview for a commission only sales job today and was wondering if /biz/ had any experience with them.
Are they usually a waste of time or is there a real chance to make serious money from them?

>>
>>1769365
what are you selling?
what % of commission is yours?
what is the company's reputation like? (MLM, Vector, etc)
is there any kind of demand for the product in which you are selling?
>>
>>1769374
It's with a company called vivint they specialize in smart home security systems I get $530 for every home I sign up.
>>

My friend is in sales so this is secondhand. When he first started he didn't have many clients and spent all day cold calling basically begging. He ended up being pretty good at it and now 5 years later he is shifting more and more towards commission only. He has a good client base and would be making bank, I think he's around 30% commision. But if he had been like that from the start I think he may have starved for a year or two. So I guess the question is how quick do you think you can land some sales and how well could you survive a few bad months if it doesn't work out right away

Hello /biz/.

> Be me

> Be 21

> Be son of successful bizness man

Anyway, my father's business is a restaurant. I won't get into detail of what sort of restaurant. I've been working there since I was 16. As soon as I graduated high school my hours skyrocketed. At the same time I was going to community college, but I couldn't stand how left leaning the professors and students were. Very biased!

Anyway, so I stopped going after I had completed a few classes. Now my time is dedicated to work. My father has been teaching me how to run a business. Just ordering product, customer service etc. Things like that, since I was 19. I've gotten the hang of everything. I've even started to interview, hire and train people. So I'm very fortunate and grateful for the experiences and advantage my father gave me and my family. I'm glad my dad has basically just stepped back and essentially retired. I call him for advice on how to tackle situations or how to approach an employee about something.

I live in Commiefornia. Before taxes, I'm making $70k, after taxes I make about $48k. I live on my own, in a shit little studio apartment but it's close to work. My monthly expenses(rent, utilities, food, entertainment, etc) are about $1500. I try to be as frugal as possible, but I do splurge every now and then. I recently split with my GF so I'm saving more now. I do miss her though.

So, my question to all of you is: What should I be doing with my money? I want to be wise and possibly make my money work for me and make more money. I have about $15k saved up(I used to be a habitual spender of useless shit). Just keep depositing money into my savings account, or should I look into some stocks, a CD account? I'm saving up money to open up my own restaurant. I will be getting a loan, hopefully, from the same bank my father got his loan. I know the bankers there well. Nice people.

Idk what they are called but these are the ones. The tags have faded so I got no information. I use them to run, go to the gym and casual use. Only issue I have is that a few months ago a barely noticeable place inside had stitching come undone. Easy fix though.

What exactly do you need? Real time, per tick data? Or just end of day data?

Google Finance has a unofficial API that gives you realtime data for the last 14 days. Its not legal but...

What's not legal? To archive said data?
