JFC crabs are so fucking dumb. What's the point of these things besides being food and doing dumb shit?

Crabs can survive and navigate in their natural environment better than you can in a developed society.

Hey guys,
I'm writing a short story that involves a guy riding for months over wildlands and his horse getting seriously sick and possibly dying. Events take place from July to October. Could anyone suggest what sort of disease could horse contract in such an environment? I know about broken legs and there could be intestines problems, but I'd prefer some sort of disease.Rabid animal bite also came to mind.
I'm willing to google things thoroughly, but I'd appreciate some advice first, thanks.
Pic quite related.
thanks

First thing that comes to mind is distemper.

equine encephalitis, the specific type depends on region.

Hey /aq/ I just got accepted a job at an aquarium shop. My experience is a 25 gallon koi pond I currently own and I had a 5 gallon freshwater tank when I was a lad.
Anything important or tips I should know?
>>2443806
>25 gallon koi pond
I'm going to say no because you don't know what you are doing in the first place. Have fun selling clownfish in bowls.
>>2443806
is that a photo of the place?
So, /an/ apparently Australia is planning to kill cats because of their bad extinction record. So my question is, whose side are you on, Cats or the Australian Government?

Australia is a genocidal rogue government that routinely uses biological weapons. I'm with kittehs! Down with Canberra! UN sanctions when?
Is an egg an animal?
>>2443707
An egg is actually a single cell, believe it or not.

Cat here. Why do my humans never lick themselves? Do they hate bathing? They must be filthy. And why don't they ever eat mice? They must be starving.
Dog here. Why do cat shit in box? Do they hate clean smell house? House must smell. And why don't they travel in pack? They must be lonely.
Sulcata Tortoise here. Why do cat and dog only alive for short time? It make me sad when I make friend that dies after only few years.
Albatross here. Why do tortoise move so slow? He stuck on little island entire time. No can wander entire ocean. Must get so bored.
Which is the best species of great ape?
Michael from Vsauce

Bonobos, the dolphins of the great apes.
Orangutans
They are super gentle, really empathetic towards other living beings and super generous
Any idea what this dark spot could be? It started as a little dark spot that I thought was a little scab or something from rubbing om her wooden furniture. But now she has shed and the spot seems bigger. The scales that shed from the spot looked really weird, almost like a wart. Cancer? Scab? Damaged scales? Wart? I can take her to the vet but I bet people here are more familiar with beardies than a lot of vets in my area. Any advice would be appreciated

Rest in Peace my Russian friend
Why or why not?
>>2440585
I'm pretty sure that was debunked
Also it was just another contrarian theory by Horner to try to live in the limelight again
Seriously fuck that guy
>>2440585
It's still being debated. It makes sense, but it would flip a lot of what we currently know in paleontology upside down. It's a big line to step over and it would need a lot more consensus before being generally accepted as theory. Keep in mind most of the people saying it's been "debunked" are at least 27 and have grown up so proud of knowing all the different dinosaur species.

Any time someone uses the word "debunked", you can be sure what they're claiming has been debunked is true.

Discuss anything aquarium related here, including inhabitants, decor and issues.
Google is your friend.
Feel free to ask questions but know that there are a lot of resources out there that could answer your question a lot faster and accurately than /an/.
Make sure to include these things in your post before asking because we can't help you if we don't have the full picture:
-tank size (include dimensions, not just volume)
-parameters (ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, pH, GH, KH)
-any and all inhabitants + how long you've had them

Is a python no drip system worth the money? Are there any alternatives that will do the job just as well?
I ask this because I'm getting sick of doing water changes on my 50 gallon with a bucket, plus today I had to set up a 20 gallon to move the inhabitants of the 50gal into that so I can totally overhaul the 50gal and it took so much longer than it should have.
>>2439872
Go to Wal-Mart, buy a 5 dollar 50 foot water hose, go to home depot and get a water hose strainer adapter for your sink. Same thing, much cheaper. Just drain the hose into the tub or out a window.
Much more effective and reaches farther.
I've got both and only use the python thing when i need the gravel vacuum.
>>2439872
What I did for my 45 gallon was buy a 25 litre fuel canister, and fit a hose connector to the lid. When I vacuum the tank, I've made a mark on the filter for where the water level is after I've drained 25 litres, so I just put the vacuum hose out of the window next to the tank until I've drained enough water. Then I lift the water can onto the windowsill, plug the hose in, lay the hose end in the tank, and tip the can over. Water changes only take a few minutes this way.
The reason I don't use something like the python system is because my tap water is extremely hard, so I need to mix a buffer. I just do that right into the 25l can.
What kind of fucked up design is this?

That's the Himalayan buttocks beaver. Critically endangered only one left in existence.
This was my bird Lola, she died tonight. The vet said there was nothing he could have done. She was ten years old and I'm going to miss her a lot.
>>2439509
F. My diamond dove died suddenly when he was only about 4-5 years old - nothing the vet did for him could bring him around. Birds are bros, but so delicate.
What a striking pattern she had on her wings. Is there a name for that? It's quite pretty.
>>2439525
I dont know if there is a name for it but yeah people noticed the wings a lot. They were so thickly outlined it looks like i painted her or something.

Yes in peace lil Lola.
I need a name for my new hedgehog!! Please no videogame references obviously
