Jesus Christ. These fuckers live a long time. My bro has about a dozen of them (they spawned). Cool birds but when you get that many it gets ridiculous. Their "cage" is practically an entire room (not joking, I've had GFs that could stand up and walk around in it).

My birb's live an abnormally long lifespan. I don't actually confine him to a cage (though I got him a huge flight cage) so he just flies around and if he's hungry when I'm home he flies on my head. I guess they normally live 15-25 years so I'm glad he's lived as long as he has. I was thinking of getting a sun conure but I'm not sure if my tiel will get stressed.

Birds are incredibly affectionate and loyal friends, mine got suddenly sick and passed two years ago now, and I still can't forget about him. Easily the best friend I've ever had.

I'm sorry for your loss, think that at least she had the fortune to live in a loving home thanks to you.
