Are nightclubs allowed to ban service dogs? I tried going to a nightclub called el Hefe in Arizona last Saturday night with my service dogs and they said I couldn't go in with the dog. Can I file a discrimination lawsuit?

a business can refuse a customer for any reason. you would have to prove it is not just you. also food service setting do not allow animals, being California they might defend themselves in this manner if they have a salad bar or self serve thing.

The real question is why would you even try to bring service dogs to a night club?

I'm in Minneapolis MN and I've never seen a huge bug like this. Does anybody know what it is? That's a fly in its mouth for scale.

Thanks.

I have an amazing golden retriever that I absolutely love, but he's no guard dog. I was thinking of picking him up a buddy but have been having trouble deciding on a breed, I'm pretty indecisive when it comes to big decisions like this. Just wanted some outside opinions.

My preferences:
Sociable to some extent. It will be raised with the most loving dog breed of all time, so I shouldn't have to worry to much about them arguing anyway. I still want a dog I can socialize, however.
Larger the better, something over the 10lb range. My Golden is about 85lbs at 2 years old. Want something bigger than him.
Low/medium energy. I don't want a Belgian Malinois, German Shepherd, or similar breed since it has so much energy to burn on a daily basis. I have nearly a half acre yard for them to run about in, plus I take my golden to the dog park every morning before work, so playing around at the park with other dogs, the golden at home, and some light fetch outside should be enough for it. Another way to put it is that it should have similar energy levels to what a golden retriever might need, not TOO much more. Training isn't an issue, however.
Preferably no exotic, hard to come by breeds. I feel like highly exotic or low volume breeds with very few breeders in the US will lead to inbreeding, and that's out of the question.

Preferably no show breeds, it should be a working or field breed that isn't genetically fucked up for the sole purpose of being a show dog.
Most importantly, is fine living in a hot climate (southern Nevada) regardless of being an indoor dog. I don't want the dog to needlessly suffer not being in a super cold climate if that's what it was bred for.
Would likely be Schutzhund trained or trained similarly like my old shepherd was. Training isn't a major issue, I never had a problem making time.

I was looking at getting a Rottweiler puppy, since it meets most of these standards, but was sort of wanting something a little larger.
With whatever breed you suggest, if you have a recommended breeder for me to look into as well, feel free to mention them. Thanks in advanced!

Labs are good too. They usually have more energy than Goldens, but they mellow out when they hit 5-6. Huskies aren't bad either, but they have more upkeep with their coats. If you want to get a bigger dog than that, get some mix breed, because pure bred dogs of that size will almost always have a litney of health problems and vet bills attached to them.

I need help identifying what bit me. I've been sick for 7 years since getting bitten. What I know about the bug:

>Maine woods near lake
>Probably a fly of some kind
>Flying, black color, round. Thumbnail size or larger
>More than one, persistent, followed me as I ran
>Bite was not painful
>Didn't see what kind of mark it left, if any

Symptoms:
>Dizziness for 3 days, then fainting
>In years after fainting, had heart palpitations, dizziness, weakness, fatigue, nausea
>No joint pain and negative for Lyme

Ticks are vectors for several other conditions with similar symptoms to what you described: anaplasmosis, babesiosis, ehrlichosis, and most interestingly Powassan encephalitis which can cause residual neurological problems in people who recover from the initial infliction.

Depends, if you don't want him, turn him over to a shelter or wait until he's old enough to be released (6 weeks).
I would not recommend keeping a wild rat as a pet, it's like owning a pet wolf, you really shouldn't do it.

How possible are the Kig-yar/Jackals as a primitive species?
Kig-Yar share many features with Earth avians as well as reptiles and exhibit several features that are common among species that have evolved in low-gravity environments. Their legs are sinewy and muscular, and are reverse-jointed in a similar fashion to those of birds. Though they have been mistaken for carnivores, the Kig-Yar are apparently an omnivorous species. Kig-Yar have sharp beaks are lined with razor-sharp teeth, and their tri-digit hands and feet have sharp talons. Their eyes are protected by a nictitating membrane that sweeps across the eyes horizontally. Starved Kig-Yar have been known to eat the flesh of fallen enemies, as well as that of live prisoners. They are gifted with extraordinarily acute senses of sight, hearing, and smell, making them adept as scouts and snipers in the Covenant military. Kig-Yar are also very agile, and can execute swift jumps and rolls in combat; these abilities are most pronounced in the more muscular T'vaoan subspecies, members of which can leap great distances and cover ground at extremely high speeds. Kig-Yar possess a strong salty, occasionally acrid stench. Male Kig-Yar possess plumes of spiny quills (feathers in the case of Skirmishers) at the back of the head and on the elbows; the color of this plumage indicates the Kig-Yar's mood. Quill color also varies between subspecies; Jackal quills typically have brown, red or light blue coloration, whereas Skirmishers generally have black or reddish feathers. Females lack these quills, instead having calloused plates at the forearms and the rear of the head. This thick skin helps protect the female during courtship: when mating, the male will often bite, chew, and tear at the back of the female's head, neck, and arms. Apart from these differences as well as those in reproductive organs, there is no meaningful physical variance between male and female Kig-Yar. So is it possible or not?

Why that would be such an incredibly shit life.
between hawks outdoor cats eachother and competition to mate etc. let's make this thread: all the reasons it would suck ass to be a bird.

Help!!! My dog has gone into heat. I don't think it is a uti she hasn't shown any symptoms of having a uti. I thing or possibly sure she is in heat, but how do I deal with a dog in heat. Of course we are going to fix her soon she's a rescue, and was not able to fix her right away because of heart worms. But do not worry we will fix her soon. I'm a little freaked out I've only had cats frowning up so do not know how to handle a dog in heat any advice or tips would be very helpful. Thank you.
