Not getting more Moribito really hurts since there's a bunch of novels that they can adapt.
I only read the first two, but they were alright. They'd have to figure out how to space out the second one a bit, not a whole lot happens in it for a two cour series like SnM.

Did you enjoy Log Horizon? It certainly was what a show based on an MMORPG should have been about. It was a pleasant surprise
Except that the 3 "main" characters got almost no development. Even the kids got more development than the main characters, pic related.

That's fine, character development isn't always needed in fiction so long as you can make up for that through good interactions and an overall interesting series of events. The kids were absolutely garbage for that, and even by the end of S1 I was already wishing they never existed.

The anime has more filler, otherwise they're the same. The manga is good for the spreads, but the anime has a stellar voice cast and was put together quite well, so it is definitely a substitute for the manga.
If you really like it you may as well hit both, I believe the manga has been localized fully for America, too.
