Just finished Abaranger actually. Have been watching chronologically since Jetman (Save for incomplete Time/Hurricanger) for reference. It was alright. Not bad, but definitely in the lower end of the rankings. Main cast was good, not great or memorable. Abarekiller was a nice difference for a series. Some of my least favorite costumes in all of Sentai though.Villains were some of the worst though, never really felt like a threat, and the climax was really weak. I'd probably rank it tied for 3rd worst with Megaranger IMO (2 and 1 are Kaku and Oh) .

Ah well, onto Dekaanger, I hear that's a good one.

6 episodes into Gaoranger. Nothing special but fun so far. That one in particular got me interested bc I watched the shit out of Wild Force as a kid.

Just remember to take a break before starting it, like a week or so on. ZZ is very different tonally from Zeta. Also, skip the "first" episode as it's basically an infomercial.

I had a lot of fun with ZZ, personally; both goofy antics and srs bsns type stuff.

But I'm already on the 5th episode after finishing Zeta around 6 hours ago. That being said, the goofiness is much more endearing than I would have expected, I guess because I know its still UC Gundam and that it gets "srs bsns" eventually when appropriate.
I also like Judau a lot more than I thought I would. What a cool guy.
Marshmallow is also quite unique and interesting, though I have a sinking feeling he won't be around for long.

It's a massive shame that there's not a localized version for us. I bet it would be popular here and would probably generate more interest in the Gundam franchise again. How hard could it be to make English assets for the game?

true. The worst thing is even without the Gundam label there's almost no competition for this game. I mean, the closest you can get when people talk about massive, 50v50 shooters would be Planetside 2, and that's about it. Then add the amount of customization which in this case hundreds of mobile suits to choose from if you ignore the horrific balance.

Going entirely by observed feats, Dozle. Yes, supposedly he was this awesome fighter with his giant axe-modded Zaku. But we never see that, we only see him stumble around in an overpowered mobile armor that gets by entirely on being too shooty for anyone to approach past its I-field.

This was kind of an interesting thing to me, like what would happen if a whole army ship was filled with nothing but unlikeable assholes.
I still liked the animation and the scenes with Kamille near the end.
It's a 6/10 show for me.

The problem is that the show had no real plot to speak of. Shit hit the fan, because the characters were acting retarded. That's bad writing. In other shows, the characters try to avoid the worst situation, and of course, they act retarded under emotional stress. Here, if the characters didn't do shit, they'd still be alive today.

Too generous. I thought it was bad, like 4/10. I give the original a 7 or 8 /10. It was good. Amuro's emotional stress made much more sense and you could empathise with him., but not in Zeta. Nearly every situation was under their control, and they still fucked it all up. It reminded me of that recent kinda mediocre Alien movie where nearly every character acted like a dumbass and all ended up dying in the end.

Both seasons, both sub and dub, and as far as I know it's HD. If you have a Hulu subscription, you can watch it there without ads. It's not a torrent, but it's a legal way to watch it.

I imagine they share an internet because there's no reason to not have a universal communication network, but the lag would keep people sticking largely to websites from their own side, and they'd probably have local caches for the biggest sites.
Also servers for video games would probably be locked to each side, nobody on earth wants to play with that zeon faggot with 3 seconds of lag
