So we are probably not getting a follow-up or proper ending?
>>15611029
I wouldn't rule it out, but don't expect it immediately, I figure PA Works is going to do a few other shows before getting back to it. There was nearly 4 years between Uchouten Kazoku and the sequel that's airing now, so there might be a similar timeframe between Kuromukuro and its possible sequel.
>>15611029
Uchouten Kazoku was an excellent series though, while Kuromukuro was passable at best.
We didn't even get any toys out of it.
>>15611044
Mecha series barely get toys though, especially originals.
Only mecha that get actual proper toys these days are the big franchises, nothing else.
Anyone got that pic where someone made a comedic explanation of what would have happened if big zam were mass produced. I think dozel puts legs on a baoa qu and amuro opens a repair shop

What is the best release available for the 0079 movie triology? I'm seeing that the Blu Ray collection found on the US Amazon store was rerecorded for SFX, OST, and some VO and was a Tomino-headed effort. It seems these are issued by Right Stuff and no other publications are easily available. Are people just complaining to complain, or are these releases fine?

the new audio throws out the signature anime stock sounds for crap other stock sounds
>>15646113
We who were used to the 2.0 track (and likewise hate the 5.1) all seem to have common memories of the major feels it invoked. Now that may be easy to dismiss but I think the fact so many people on /m/ actually AGREE on this one thing really says something.

>the new audio throws out the signature anime stock sounds for crap other stock sounds
Always complaining, always fucking complaining. The old sound effects were shit, not realistic enough and sounded like what they are : late seventies drivel.
The new soundtrack was a godsend and it's a good part of the reason why the remastered edition was so freaking amazing.
What mech is this?
>>15645488
It actually looks familiar but I can't place it.
>>15645488
that looks like an ARX-7 from an alternate universe.
>>15645496
It's from one of those "how to draw manga" books, I always wondered if this mech is from some legit manga or was only drawn as an example for that book.
It looks like a pretty good design.
>inb4 get off pablo
How does /m/ feel about it? Close enough to be /m/?
>>15645065
How does it compare to LOGH? LOGH is almost universally liked on 4chan but Tytania just seems to barely have a presence.
It is like bad LOGH, but even gayer.

Mwu was fucking lovable, that episode in SEED where they're trying to court-martial Kira and he's bumbling through the manual for the proceeding on the spot was hilarious.

my favorite part was when sheryl did a blood ritual and tried to sacrifice a baby.
I initially hated G-Saviour upon seeing it 10 years ago but over time, after seeing other Gundam series, I’ve come to enjoy it enough to say it’s one of my favourite parts of UC altogether. I can watch it despite its faults but there are changes I would have made to the film. These I have put down in a complete wishlist that won’t happen but are my thoughts regardless:
- More emphasis on technical detail though what we got is still satisfying (the G-Saviour releasing its arm armour to free itself from the solar panel mesh). The designs for G-Saviour are very detailed (the amount of auxiliary thrusters most of the suits have access to, the I-Saviour’s ball joint mid-section, the Bugu’s giant hatchet hidden in its shield) so it would have been cool to see these things utilised better.
- A rewrite of the romance between Cynthia and Mark (though at the same time I think this was not unlike an animated Gundam romance). This would have been more believable as something mutual instead of Mark deciding he was no longer with Mimi at the drop of a hat.
- A transitionary battle sequence between the events on Side 4 and the events on Side 8. Considering the promotional trailer (see G-Saviour Full Weapon) depicts this, this could be easily situated as the Congressional Armed Forces pursuing Mark and co to Side 4 and Mark deciding to pilot the G-Saviour earlier in the film to fight back. This would have made for screen time for the G-Saviour Terrain Mode and also the Terrain Hover Mode. As seen in Full Weapon also, the battle continues outside the colony which means more screen time for the G-Saviour Space Mode and the Bugu units. This sequence also includes the earliest appearance of the I-Saviour. The “space garbage clearance” scene would be kept intact as I like how this shows MS as a tool and not just a weapon.
- Most of the one-liners are fine under Mark's delivery but I would have removed General Garneau’s concubine simply because it’s too comedic.
[Continued]
Other than that I like this movie, it’s fine for a TV production made in 1999 and looks very much like a product of its time. The CGI isn’t nearly as horrible as everyone says it is and has the benefit of mostly using muted colours and keeping the composites with live-action actors to a minimum. I understand there was little communication between Sunrise and the production company, which was probably a factor in why the film turned out how it did. Another issue is how I don’t think this was ever originally intended to be released back in the west as the preceding radio drama (which provides some background to events and characters in the film) and promotional PS2 game were exclusive to Japan, meanwhile the US promotion of the film was a footnote at best.
As questionable as the mobile suit technology is by the time of G-Saviour, I quite like how the suits are minimal and fairly streamlined. Considering this takes place so far into the UC timeline, it makes sense to me that, with the evolution (or devolution) of the EFF as the main governing power, there is less immediate need for suits with complex load-outs. By the time the game takes place, which is the winter of 223, all the Congressional mobile suits are equipped with either beam rifles or the beam-rifle-and-sabre-in-one variant with some details indicating modular designs and quickly-produced upgrades.
G saviour appreciation thread now?

Better than felcher gundam somehow
Need more beefed up Gundam
Wtf is that?
I LOVE IT
>>15643555
we virtual on now
Why do the shitty ongoing manga (that never get decent conclusions) always get such prominent marketing in the games now?
Is Getter Robo Go a real robot series at heart? There are still a lot of unrealistic shit like mecha dinosaurs and weird lovecraftian looking enemies, but some of the situations in it were treated with a degree of realism that's unseen in other real robot series like Gundam and Votoms.
>>15642368
>Is Getter Robo Go a real robot series at heart?
No
It's just an example that even the old school greats don't really pay attention to those silly robot categories.
>>15642368
>some of the situations in it were treated with a degree of realism that's unseen in other real robot series like Gundam and Votoms.
That's because Gundam is a steaming load of vapid refuse.
Hopefully this will become the mecha game of the year

Arcade-only.
>>15640843
I think that we should have more of this in general. That it looks like a fun game and that it's a shame we can't play it here in North America. I think we need more models of its amazing designs. I think we could really use an anime adaptation so we who can't play the game can still enjoy. Just give me my border break and no one gets hurt, why isn't more popular than it is?
I thought it was a fun game I spent about 3 hours at an arcade playing it and maxi boost on while I was in Japan for a week.
