I still think the original movie was fun. The sequels not so much.

As a franchise, though, it only serves as a way for Paramount to drown their sorrows in a pile of money.

Honestly going back to the first, I don't like it much. I appreciate it for being a genuine effort to make a live action tf movie, but it basically made it ok for the sequels to follow the trend of focusing more on humans than the robots. I didn't mind it in the first in order to establish characters, but since the cast gets sucked around to a degree in each subsequent movie it made it pointless.

I prefer the 3rd movie desu with it being a sort of recreation of a g1 3-parter (the ultimate doom). It also had some ideas that could have had potential (like some humans working with the Decepticons by choice) but of course none of them are fleshed out even though the movies are some of the longest summer blockbusters that release.

I can't comprehend why people need explanation how Evil Organization creates monsters to fight Karate Bugmen and conquer the world. Seriously, what's with the obsession with explanations, it's like people forgot what makes fiction a fiction.
But okay, in some episodes of original Kamen Rider creation of cyborgs was shown. Like replacing blood or soaking in the tank full of poisonous mushrooms.

I dropped Destiny by episode 10 when I was a teenager in exactly the right age band to like SEED, so I don't think there's any fixing things by that point.

The best I can do is ditch the notebook finding and instead have Lacus and Kira make the much more solid argument that the Destiny Plan is bad because people don't always like doing what they're genetically good at, with the two of them being Exhibits A and B. Also because it's a plan to force Naturals into second-class citizen status and eventually exterminate them. Also you tried to have us assassinated and replaced Lacus with a lookalike. Basically any reason they give to oppose Durandal other than the one that they actually do.

As far as fight choreography, make it so Kira and Athrun beating Shinn and Rey actually takes some effort and both sides lose limbs. Actually do the poster thing where Destiny is charging at Strike Freedom and they've both been torn to shreds. Making the protagonists work for the victory a little would work wonders towards making it less aggressively terrible.

"Boss" fights are pretty fun if you're underleveled. Otherwise I just try to make things entertaining by switching through option parts and making up combos.
