Are there contrarian hipsters out there that think this is one of the best Transformers entries of all timejust as most normies thought back in 2009and that anything G1-related is absolute garbage that deserves to be dismissed?
>>15648148
>merely asking if some bullshit strawman you just invented off the top of your head exists
no no, that's not how this works, you're supposed to repeatedly insist that these people have infiltrated every possible space of discussion and make samefag replies to yourself in agreement until the thread gets pruned. C for effort, see me after class.
>>15648148
No, even the people who like Bay's Transformers movies think Revenge of the Fallen was bad. Now, Dark of the Moon, that one is pretty good.
>>15648288
And the worst thing about it is that, in most critics' eyes, it became the definitive Bayformers movie which means it defines the series' terribleness.
I seriously feel sorry for Bayformers. It has a ton of cool concepts, designs, effects and ideas, but they all go to waste because of Bay's directing style and because of how successful ROTF was. Looking forward to the Bumblebee movie breaking the series out of its perpetual slump.

Kamen Rider Build?
Or maybe this is Build.
Guys, are you waiting for new Galactic Vice episodes?
>>15647829
That name always seemed odd to me given it's a show about Earthsphere cops in a setting where humans barely go beyond the Earthsphere in the first place.
That aside though I'm all in after the revelation Char's dad was possibly corrupt and helped push the very gangs and problems the guys are trying to expose and solve at the end of the season. I do wonder how Amuro's dad figures in to it, since we know he was a shady scientist and prone to dabbling in black market stuff.
I do find the relationship between Char and Quess a little too creepy mind. I know they're trying to push that he doesn't realise what's happening, but the writing legitimises the idea a little too much I think. Still, it's better than all the Amuro/Char shipper shit; those people are clearly crazy.
>>15647879
Well, Earthspace Vice or Colonial Vice doesn't sound as good.
>the revelation Char's dad was possibly corrupt
In my opinion they're overusing this idea. They've been claiming that several major characters are corrupt, like DA Jamitov's crew. They're running out of ideas, I tell you.
>I do find the relationship between Char and Quess a little too creepy mind
Probably, they're gonna keep them as friends and introduce some other romantic interests.
>>15647891
I like that they're going with the idea almost everyone is corrupt to some degree, even the apparent heroes ; though I guess protagonists is probably a more fitting term given that. Makes things feel not just more overwhelming and against the protagonists, but more real, or at least more lived in and compelling, that everyone in real power is on the take to someone and probably only in power in the first place because of it while the little guys trying to actually do something are mostly lost in the system because they won't play ball with all the shakers in power.
Also, Char is already basically stringing along and ignoring that lawyer Nanai so I wonder if they'll eventually have her get tired of his shit or will he realise what he's passing up in his obsession?
What are your thoughts on bridge bunnies maintaining good posture while on the job?
>>15647302
Why don't they simply use chairs?
>>15647302
>>15647725
Probably take up too much room compared to a simple rest, which is important in cramped quarters. It might be a posture thing too, since chairs promote slouching and bad backs, while rests are less likely to do so. Makes you look more productive too.
Around a hear and a half ago there was a thread quoting some shit ANN review about how Tomino & Yasuhiko said in the BD-special interview that were supposedly deeply ashamed of the animation in 0079 and everyone took it for granted. Well I finally watched the interview and the writer either can't read/hear or lied on purpose.
ANN Yasuhiko quote:
>the original art is “half-hearted and obsolete.”
What Yas actually said: He wasn't sure if he should make the characters' uniforms silly anime-style or realistic and serious, so in that regard they were "half-hearted", but that he feels that "the end result was good".
ANN Tomino "quote":
>“We had to use fewer and fewer cells each episode. While we were doing the work, even I thought it was horrible,” he said. Tomino noted that every episode was completed on schedule, but at what cost?
What Tomino actually said:
>"We had to use fewer cels per episode, and we couldn't animate so smoothly. But those animators drew each frame so elaborately. It had never been done before."
Earlier he also said that all the animators did a good job, including the inbetweeners. The only part he was very critical of was the backgrounds not drawn by Mitsuki Nakamura, saying they looked like shit in comparison and were not movie-worthy but they had to use them for the compilation movies anyway.
So basically Tomino thought the animation was great for its time and was was praising the animators he worked with and ANN completely misquoted him to make it look like he was shitting on them and the animation was some horrible thing that haunted him every night. Great job faggots: http://archive.is/i8Onn

http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2017/06/18/daisuki-lists-anime-set-to-expire-in-july
Has anyone here ripped official subs for L-Gaim and Vifam yet? The titles are set to expire soon with no guarantee that they will re-appear, and while the fansubs were decent, official subs are generally still better to have.
This is why streaming shit is always a problem, BTW. If no one rips it, it may really disappear. No one else has these shows.
Hell, has anyone ripped official LoGH subs from HiDive as well? Does anyone know how?
Vifam has been ripped check the nyaa recovery thread
I am not sure if we could do L-gaim or not since we are relying on screen recording hopefully a bunch of us could make free accounts and download some of those series
>>15647031
I've ripped Vifam, but haven't had the chance to finish muxing the series and throwing it up on Mega.
I'm screen capturing as much of L-Gaim as I can. I'm in the process of recording ep 14 as we speak; at the very least I'm trying to nab the first 32 eps, but it's gonna look like shit so I'm going to transcribe the scripts and put it on a better encode. No idea when that'll be done.
Probably going to be unable to grab anything else, though.
Not /m/ but I finished screen capturing all of Mama ha Shougaku 4nensei yesterday. Needs some work to be presentable but all the subs are there

Why do no Gundam pilots suffer cranial or spinal trauma when they get smashed into asteroids or artificial surfaces? I've never seen any even suffer so much as whiplash.
Probably some advanced inertial dampening, the same kind which allows a bipedal form to perfectly manoeuvre in space despite the arms and legs moving around so violently which would fuck with your flight orientation every second.
They have very good airbags and probably bracing in the neck joints of their normal suits
IBO's reactors generate artificial gravity, so they function as inertia dampners.

Can anyone recommend some stand alone mech movies?
>>15640876
Robot Carnival
Akira
Metropolis (both original and 1980s anime)
Venus Wars
>>15640876
Legend of the Blue Wolves is really good if you can ignore/skip the gay porn. I am not joking or trolling - the action scenes are really well done, the mech designs are fantastic (especially if you like ZZ Gundam) and the romance subplot was surprisingly not cringe-inducing.
>>15640876
Strait Jacket is a nice little OVA about magical power armor which I hear is also available in movie form
I'm in need of funny /m/ show. I think I've seen many but there has to be something I haven't seen.
List of what I've seen and what kind of shows I'm looking for:
>Project A-Ko
>Patlabor
>Dirty Pair
>Dai-Guard
>Full Metal Panic
>Gunsmith Cats (it's /m/, right?)
>Nadesico
>Dominion Tank Police
>Outlaw Star
>Space Dandy
>Tiger & Bunny
>Trigun

Maybe the one with the penguins? Dime-dollar or whatever it's called.

You'll probably like Excel Saga, especially that space opera episode.
Linebarrels Of Iron.
What are some /m/ shows with "realistic" mechas. Something like Gasaraki?
>Mecha
>Realistic
None of them
>>15639315
>>15639323
The word to use here would be "verisimilitude". As in, looking like it would be plausible enough, even if it isn't.
>>15639315
>What are some /m/ shows with "realistic" mechas
There isn't one mecha series ever made that was realistic. Realism in mecha is a question of degree. Once you understand this, you know there is no conceptual difference between "real" robots and super robots.
This said, you should state what criteria a mecha show should have to be "to a certain degree realistic" and go from there.
Gasaraki whilel a science-fiction mecha show, has elements of what we could call realism. Realism in how the mecha are delivered to the battlefield. Realism in how mecha operate in teams, the coordination being made between pilots and between pilots and the mobile HQ.
Realism in how these exoskeleton are used in urban environments etc...
Pic unrelated ofc. I just want to cry instead. No SEED shit please.
