Best Dinos.

Just finished Abaranger actually. Have been watching chronologically since Jetman (Save for incomplete Time/Hurricanger) for reference. It was alright. Not bad, but definitely in the lower end of the rankings. Main cast was good, not great or memorable. Abarekiller was a nice difference for a series. Some of my least favorite costumes in all of Sentai though.Villains were some of the worst though, never really felt like a threat, and the climax was really weak. I'd probably rank it tied for 3rd worst with Megaranger IMO (2 and 1 are Kaku and Oh) .

Ah well, onto Dekaanger, I hear that's a good one.

Kind of in the same boat in that I watched all the PR stuff first. I think WF did the villains much better, but Gao handled the main cast better, at least so far as growth, interactoin, and party dynamics went. Other than that it's as others said, the plot is mostly the same.

Yeah, I've got mixed feeling about Jetman as well. Even tho I liked how the team itself was rather dysfunctional at first (given that most of its members were chosen by coincidence), most of these are crybabies.

Jetman is great, but a bit overrated.

Mech fights are good, 6-7 battles are really great (specially the ending, one of the most hardcore mech battles in sentai). Really nice.

However, most of his fame is the internal conflict of the group: a military, a rich girl, a selfish student, a farmer, an almost yakuza, hardcore female commander + love triangle + brainwashed waifu from the "dead". It's a fucking messed core, with many plot twists inside. That was Jetman's biggest "quality". For a 91's show, was original.

However, rest is weak: suits are not that good, bad enemies, monsters a joke... overall character design? Horrible.

Finished watching Go-Busters vs Gokaiger and overall I give a 4/10.

The beginning scene with the Gokaigers coming back as evil would've been badass if it lasted more than 5 minutes. The 2 teams really didn't interacted that much together outside of the Hiromu/Captain Marvelous and Yoko/J/Gai scenes and even after the team henshin and roll call they went on their separate ways and fought the villains from their shows. The only good things about the movie was the fight scenes and the final mech battle with them gokai changing.

To be fair I'll probably go back to Kyuranger eventually. I dropped it for a couple of reasons but I think the main one is that the one-two punch of Ninninger and KR Ghost made me a hell of a lot more selective in watching currently airing shows compared to just downloading older series.

People here love it, but Gokaiger is overrated and, in essence, much more a fanservice with 51 episodes + tons of movies than a real solid show.

To be appreciate, viewer must know previous sentais, specially 90's and 2000's. Otherwise, it's dumb, you lost references, connections, even jokes. And the group is just a sentai version of One Piece crew, with prepotent characters, super annoying sixth member on crack and clusterfuck mechs. Much style over substance. As other anon said, if expect 80's sentai except Liveman, forget it.

To be extremely honest, Dekaranger is the real big name in post-2000 sentais, 13 years alive.

Pretty much this. It's fun, but the people that gush over it are usually Gokaibabbies that popped their sentai cherry on it. They rate it more highly than it deserves and turn criticisms into '''''strengths'''''.

The guy who said Doc was the best is correct(also correct about him being a flaming homosexual) but that's really because the most of the core characters are bland as fuck so that Marvelous and the guests can shine.

I won't deny the Gokais are good actors, but it's mostly wasted on the Captain and Joe trying to act cool while Guy and Doc mug for the camera. Luka is high-tier and Ahim is a cute but had no personality outside of being a Yamato Nadeshiko from Spess. Basco is the best homo side villain ever.

The homage bits are the best parts of the show, though you might be disappointed when the show you love gets crap treatment and another gets something amazing.

For all my ragging on it, it's fun and worth watching. Worthy of the Sentai name, but people that put it in their top 10 might be untrustworthy and if someone has it in their top 5, their opinions are immediately sent to the trash where they belong.
