What does /K/ think about a HK USP in 9mm? Thinking about getting this as a first semi auto pistol.
I own a Henry Big boy chamberd in .357
A Ruger GP100
And a mossberg 500 in 12gauge.
Wanted to know your oppinions on it?
I think it's a little like using an Abrams just for the mounted .50 mg. Good pistol but overbuilt for a tame round, just get one of the newer models.
.45 or get out

I'd only ever get the Match USP and that only cuz half life fanboy.
Hello /k/, did you do anything interesting today?

I traded my city dwelling cousin's russian SKS for a bubba'd norinco one with a tapco stock. Before you say I ripped him off he was going to buy a stock and put on the russian one but thank God he agreed to trade because he didn't want to spend the cash on the stock.

I bought a Honda Grom

Is this kit a good way to get started in the hunting of the paranormal?
www.rockislandauction.com/detail/1029/6102/vampire-and-werewolf-hunting-kit-with-percussion-pistol#detail
The paranormal is not real. Neither cryptids or ayys.
They are made up and completely fiction.

Don't worry about it. I wouldn't either.
>unit of highly trained commandos that parachute behind enemy lines with a dirtbike.
>the dirtbike hangs underneath them while falling, like the big bag in pic related.
>when behind enemy lines they can move around quickly and disrupt the enemy within a wide range from their dropzone.
How effective/practical would such a unit be?
Has something like this ever been tried before?
Sounds great for causing some chaos but also sounds like a suicide mission.
>>34217930
It's been done before to a degree,

>>34217930
Pretty sure the bike would need its own chute.
This is what I carry.

I just don't go to Detroit
How did Iraqi soldiers pass the time when they know they're fucked? Did they think they stood a chance ?
>>34211195
Probably worried a lot. Maybe raped a few hundred people. I'm sure they knew what was going to happen but they just wanted to defend their country like any sane person
First gulf war? They probably figured they could stand a chance and were blind sided. GW2? No excuse to not expect to die horribly in the middle of the night confused and without direction.
Think of a deathrow inmate not knowing his last day, but with a gun and a lot of desert.
"Aside from the Kitty Hawk, the best candidates for regeneration are the ships that could take on lower-end tasks, and thus not require the huge amount of technological investment as their more advanced cousins require. Primarily this includes the Navy's mothballed logistical ships and especially its Oliver Hazard Perry class frigates. The tough Oliver Hazard Perry class ships were retired too soon by many accounts—a symptom of their fiscal neglect more than anything else—and were ripe for a major upgrade like many of the second-hand models operated by allied Navies around the globe have received. Some of these enhancements include the installation of Mark 41 vertical launch systems and upgrades to the ship's sensors and combat systems."

Thoughts?
woah so this is the power of the "modern" American navy?
>>34206851
The US Navy is literally trying to find some stuff out of their garbage bin, because most of the world's navies (Russia and China in particular) is pure trash.
>Why deploy a Nimitz carrier when garbage carriers like the Liaoning and Kuznetsov can be offset with a rustbucket like the Kittyhawk?
>>34206896
That really doesn't make any sense.
Why do people idolize this lying piece of shit?
>>34206726
the book was good, he lied about minor shit in interviews.
He's still a hero.
>>34206726

The fame got to his head, he was still a good soldier and sniper though.
This is the ideal AR-15. You may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like.
I beg to differ
>>34197083
That's a good barebones and lightweight build.
I'd probably use polymer 20rd mags, a 14.5" pencil barrel with a pinned hider, and an upper without a forward assist, but as a flat-top (generally, I like carry handles though).
Don't know if I'd do anything with the front-sight post, maybe grind off the bayonet lug, but that's a tiny weight saving.
Also MOE handguards because those feel nicer.
>>34197167
USGI aluminum mags are lighter than many polymer mags though.
rate my long guns
be an asshole

You guys any good at identifying military vehicles from pictures taken badly from a phone while driving?
I got my sister to take some pictures as we were going past.
It was missing its track on its right side.
In the UK.

Pictures from the side
>>34224305
>>34224315
There was a 2nd one which my sister didn't take any pictures of for some reason.
Would be cool to know what it was.
>>34223881
That sucks mate. Do you even have any pro-gun politicians you can vote for?
>>34223883
We really don't. There's the LDP, but they're basically just fat old boomers who care about "gun rights" insofar as the current laws make it mildly inconvenient for them when they want to go shooting at some private range with their buddies and a gaggle of hookers, they don't give a shit about self defense.
Other than that there's One Nation, who get votes mainly out of protest and are entirely lukewarm on the issue.
Our "main" pro-gun parties are the Shooters and Fishers party and the Nationals. But both of those are basically informal divisions of the Liberal/Labor hegemony and they tow the party line in all ways that matter. They're basically token "we're listening, honest :^)" parties to funnel voters to Lib/Lab.
This is why so many Australians are all aboard the 3d printing train. While 3d printing whole firearms is still touch and go, 3d printed components are already very viable. Things like receivers and Mags that are a real pain in the dick to obtain here can be printed. Of course, the Politicians are catching on to this slowly and starting to desperately scrabble for a solution.
Besides. With the current electoral system, it's literally impossible for any party other than Labor or Liberal to get elected.
>>34223902
Honestly, how much of a pain in the ass is it to get a licence for rifles just for target shooting?
Somebody told me about a Batman story where the Joker painted the tip of his gun orange to look like a toy because he thought it was funny.
I know that toy manufacturers are required to mark toy guns with the orange tips, but is there actually a law against painting one on a real gun?
>>34223838
Sounds like a bad idea, but tell me, who is this semen demon?
>>34224135
Are you blind? It's .45 ACP clearly.
