Is there such a thing as a useable spotting scope under $100? I only need it to work in daylight out to 100 yards.
>>34228984
as long as you dont touch them at all and theres no wind, sure.
someone will be along shortly to say "well i have a so and so brand scope which only cost me $100 and it works fine" but theyre all shitty ime.
>but its only for 100 yards
i get that, but they all wobble and vibrate like crazy, youd be better off spending a more or going with binoculars
>I need a spotting scope for targets within 100 yards
What is the first breakpoint of good entry-level ones, then?
I played with a cheap Leopold, once, was unimpressed.
UHHH i can't close the slide and it's really in there
Congratulations dipshit.
Why did you do that?
The HK loading procedure only works on genuine Heckler and Koch firearms. You, sir, have a knockoff.
>>34228918
What i mean is, given a decent suppressor, are some 9mms louder than others.
Also, im pretty new to this, are silencerco suppressors good or are they just a meme/catchy name?
compact/sub-compact guns typically don't cycle as well as full size guns. As long as you stay subsonic, longer barrel should make it quieter (though I could be wrong on that).
>>34228832
M9 uses Walther style lock thus the suppressor cycles with the barrel in a straight line. The inertial mass of the suppressor increases dwell time, thus the system in locked longer allowing gasses to cool a bit longer. Browning style locks can have problems because the suppressor has to tilt upward.
>>34229020
Does that make it quieter or just more accurate?

im currently in virginia right now, but i live in a cucked 10 round magazine state.
if i walk into the gun store and just buy a 30 round AK mag, are they going to ask for my drivers licence and not sell it to me?
would it help if i told them i was stationed here and showed them my military ID instead?
>>34228282
They won't give a fuck. You ban state nanny state fuckers really overthink this shit.
Nobody. Gives. A. Flying. Fuck. About. You. Buying. Magazines. In. Normal. America.
If a dealer asked me to show ID for a magazine, I'd laugh in his fucking faggot face and take my business elsewhere.
>>34228282
No. You need ID for purchasing firearms themselves.
>>34228282
Sure you can't get them where you are? I also live in a mag cap state... but you can pretty easily get 30rd "magazine repair kits" at smaller shops around here. No dice at any of the big box stores so they are a tad more expensive than normal but it's not too big of a deal.
So for a long time I've been brooding over the NFA rules for destructive devices and how I don't want to pay the government for the privilege of owning a true antimaterial rifle. The limitation in the NFA is any firearm with a bore over .5". This limits the power by limiting the weight of the projectile, because you need to keep a minimum length/bore ratio in order to spin stabilize a projectile.
Then it hit me. We could make a drag stabilized .50 cal and have as much projectile weight as we want.
Or just get an existing >.50 caliber weapon under the hunting exemption.
>>34228189
How would one go about doing that? Also, what can .577 Tyranukeus penetrate? Modern armor is pretty tough, isn't it?
>>34228173
Wow you're so unique no one ever thought of that.
Is 6.5mm the future? If so, will 7.62 be phased out as well?
>>34228147
Sure, if it's caseless so it weighs the same as current 5.56 and either the gun design or the powder load offers comparable recoil.
Possibly. Thats the idea, but watch this space.
>If so, will 7.62 be phased out as well?
No. The LSAT program has created CT versions of both 6.5 and 7.62, so it would appear that at least in military terms, 7.62 will long outlive 5.56. I suspect 7.62 CT will be used to grandfather in 6.5 to roles already filled by 7.62, whereas 5.56 will be dropped wholesale for 6.5 CT.

>Water Cooled Browning 50 Cal MG
Why? For what purpose?
>why not
because water cooled machine guns are the only firearm capable of continuous fire without overheating
>>34228066
because barrels get hot, water helps cool them.
If you could pick a handgun to be manufactured - even though it`s the most unfeasible thing to be made with technology existing currently - which one would you choose /k/, and why is that handgun a gravitational beam emitter?

PJ Holsters. Their IWB kydex holds very close to the body, I had one for my Shield and bought another for my Glock 43 as well. They're perfect.
when and if usa fails economicly will the business banks and forgine countries take american's militery equipment i.e fighter jets and tanks and war ships like it happened in argentina when they failed??
We have specific orders to render all our equipment unusable by the enemy if it is in imminent danger of being compromised.
We'd clean-detonate any nukes not in a ready-to-fire configuration so they couldn't be used and also so they contaminate the surrounding area.
Our jets and other aircraft have self-destruct chemical packs that destroy the classified components so wrecks and mishaps don't provide the enemy with any usable intel to reverse-engineer our tech.
Suffice it to say, if we knew for a fact that the end was nigh and the USA was about to cease to exist, you subhuman cockroaches wouldn't get one iota of our tech to use in whatever diarrhea-skinned socialist dystonia you install in our place.
Get fucked.
