Anyone here ever go to a Milsim West event?

Kinda want to check out the WA event in April but I don't want to spend three days surrounded by shrill airsoft turbo-nerds.

Am I the only one who strongly suspects that what really happened with the 'Lone Survivor' mission is that the SEAL team fucked up and forgot to update to the new week's radio encryption before heading out?

It's the only thing that seems to make sense. The presented story of tying up the kid and all that is nonsense, and the idea that radios just stop working for no reason is kind of a copout that treats electronic equipment like magic.

Forgetting to update radio crypts is a simple mistake and I've seen guys here and there forget it. A SEAL team on a high op tempo might have all 4 guys forget it was changeover day, and the eventual radio connection might have been some bright guy in the TOC trying to use old crypto to connect with the SEALs when he realized what happened. The public nonsense story is presented because nobody in the military wants to admit that SEALs who died in combat fucked up a routine thing.

Am I the only one who found the gratuitous tumbling down the hill scenes kinda comedic? They reminded me of that scene in Hot Rod

The first time was one thing but I tuned in halfway through and thought I was watching a Loaded Weapon movie.

You've never operated a military radio, have you? They actually do suck balls.

One time i was on the gun store looking for my first AR-15, BMC, i liked that one so i asked the clerk to hand it to me to check it out myself, the clerk a 20 something dude, grabbed the rifle by the grip placing his finger on the trigger and BANG, the noise deafed me for some seconds, the bullet went to the ceiling.
Everyone on the store was like WTF, the clerk himself was the one most shocked of all, the manager rushed in and saw the mess, he fired him at once said sorry, but i decided to leave straight away, the police also came in.
Im never coming back to that store.
Why do stupid people get clerk jobs?
That incident could had gone pretty worse, i could had been shot, the gun could had ricocheted, he could had shot another customer or employee, that was a really close call.
Anyone else ever saw some shit like that at a LGS?

Why do 90% of the gun stores I walk into suck so much ass?

I'm not opposed to paying 20-40 dollars more for a gun if it means I can walk in, look at it, chat it up with the staff and walk out with it. I like the experience of shopping in person and would be more than willing to support my local businesses. But when pretty much every gun store I go into is charging 700 dollars for a glock 19, 300 dollars for a basic bitch 10/22 and carries nothing beyond glocks, smith and wessons, 10/22s and an AR or two, and the staff obviously just wants you out of there because you aren't 80 year old Abner Barneby about to buy 10 50 dollar boxes of .45ACP, I generally just do a 180 and walk out without even buying some cleaning supplies.

Do these guys even want to be in business?

Who else here LC9s? What is your experience so far?

Anyone using the crimson trace laser?

> Failures to Eject

The gun was greasy as fuck when I bought it and started having ejection issues. The striker channel was full of grease and gunk, so I cleaned it and left it dry as fuck. No issues since.

That'd be the Keltec P-32 desu senpai. Literally lighter than carrying a loaded mag. If I want more I just add my 1911 and new York reload instead + you can hand off the Keltec if the need arises.

Cant we all agree that the Arisaka type 99 is the best bolt action?

- god tier heat treatment
- powerful 7.7mm rounds
- stronger action than the lee enfields
- tons of features
- dust cover to protect it from the elements
100 posts and 22 images submitted.

The Type-38 action was stronger.

The best military bolt-action rifle is the MAS 36. It's stupid-simple, strong, has GREAT sights and 7.5x54mm is an excellent cartridge.

You are tasked with developing a handgun, or bullet, that can push multiple projectiles 12 inches or more into ballistics gel through layers of clothing. It must not be excessively heavy, complicated, bulky, difficult to use, or expensive.

What do you come up with /k/?
