>that's even true
autoloaders are a meme

On phone so not sure if shop, stolen valor, or uniform regs got retarded after I left
I've been thinking about getting a carry handle that attaches to my AR's picatinny rail. I've never seen one in person but since I don't intend to put an optic on my rifle I feel like I might as well replace my folding rear sight with something more sturdy. Does anyone with any experience with this type of sight have an opinion to offer? It seems like the dials on them might have a tendency to be moved accidentally?
>>33326293
It's a rear sight. It's got an AESTHETIC, but actually looking downrange, it's like looking through any other peep sight.
>It seems like the dials on them might have a tendency to be moved accidentally?
If it is an actual milspec and not a cheapo Chinese knockoff, the dials are pretty solid and have a crisp click. If you do manage to knock them out of order, just reset the dial to your zero'd position.

Thanks
Can we answer the question once and for all whether or not you can be legally BTFO for shouldering an AR15 pistol?
>>33326274
Shouldering is cool, firing supposedly isnt
>>33326274
I guarantee you they will never prosecute someone for this. They would lose in court and they know it. Besides I've been shooting for 37 years and I've never seen an ATF agent at the range hassling anyone about anything. Fuck 'em. Do what you want MAKE THEM STOP YOU. lol
>>33326274
Do not say anything except to your lawyer. Then he infers to you what you need to say
I'm building a new AR platform rifle. Going to chamber it in .300 so I can throw a can on it later. Any other suggestions for parts and such?
>>33326073
i would make sure to get a barrel
A pistol grip will make improve your handling
Where do you get the parts? Smugglers? Or are you from a country where it's legal to buy these things?
What kind of autism does Steve1989 have?

what kind of autism do you have.
I was curious about steves reaction to some of this food and so i bought some old rations and it turns out there is some real gold in there.

Thanks for notifying about this, komrade. Lots of films on that account.
Are these rifles any good or are they shit?
Shit meme rifles for cuckolds. Just buy an AR.

They have their uses but they have some problems, especially the .308 models that like to break their bolts.
>completely retarded mag release on both models, although the .308's mag release is somewhat more retarded due to taking like 7 different styles of mag (AR10, LR308, M14, G3, maybe others)
>sloppy bolt that can bind under vigorous cycling
>meh-tier fit and finish that needs some spit n' polish to cycle smoothly and not gouge the shit out of your ammo
>picky about mags because of poor QC on magwell box dimensions
>some reports of scope base mounting holes being out of alignment
>.308 model (which doesn't have the moving flap to strip rounds) likes to break its bolt just behind the bolt head
>poor copy of the Accutrigger is heavy and gritty
>firing pin spring is about 30% stronger and longer than it needs to be, there are reports of people cutting off as many as 8 full coils and still getting reliable ignition with CCI 41 milspec primers (heavy/long firing pin spring=needlessly heavy trigger pull)
They are surprisingly accurate though. Especially considering only the chassis and laminate stock models are actually freefloated.
Also, the laminate stocks are extremely well made. It's speculated they're contract-OEM from Boyd's.
>>33326027
Not everybody wants to be throwing brass to the 4 winds though. Boltgun .223 or .308's serve a purpose. It may be a niche purpose but still it's a purpose.
My big complaint with the .223 models is they're only available with 1:9 barrels. Which is fine for their varmint/predator model but why the fuck aren't their Thunder Ranch or Long Range models offered with at least a 1:8 if not a 1:7 to actually use the heavy match ammo they're intended for?
Why doesn't the US practice this anymore?
Since criminal individuals are going to be welfare subjects anyways, why don't we at least use them for our military needs?
There are 2,220,300 individuals in prison in the US. In addition, there are 4,751,400 individuals on parole or probation. These individuals could serve in our military, do their time, and we could limit the employment cost of the military.
There is no shortage of willing applicants that aren't felons. It isn't 2004 anymore, we can afford to be selective.
Besides that:
>giving guns to your criminal elements
Leland yee pls
>>33325580
Not to mention a lot of prisoners are too retarded, antisocial, or lazy for military use. Now if we want to use them for industrial labor under supervision maybe but fuck giving them actual training and tactics
>>33325666
>industrial labor
>those trips
What sort of "industrial labor" Satan?
When will brass knuckles be cool again, /k/? They don't break your fingers if you know how to hold them.
>>33325353
Brass knuckles are for spics and trailer trash. There is no cool use for them. If you're fist fighting someone just use your fists and don't be a pussy. If you're defending yourself use a proper weapon.
I always wanted some, ended up getting a copy of ones carried in the Spanish-American War.
>>33325353
Technically they're legal if you use them as a belt buckle.

Will this meme ever die? From my perspective all it achieves is fudds ruining beautiful pieces of history.

>>33325095
You're not wrong.
1-X optics negated the need for LER optics, in my opinion. Otherwise, nothing wrong with a 7.62/7/6.5mm carbine with a sling.
I want to put a 2-7 on a lever action .308 for this exact purpose.
For my first gun I was thinking of getting an M1-type model similar to pic related.
What would /k/ recommend?
>>33324640
bad idea unless you're fairly well off, I think they run around $1400
>>33324646
any m1-style rifles that are cheaper than that?
>>33324679
Canadians can get a Norinco M1A for around $400 syrup bux. If you're American, prepare to pay $800+ at least.
Would this cape be useful in combat situations?
